National K9 Memorial was set up to raise funds to create the first National Memorial to recognise the sacrifice and service given by Police Dogs in the UK... this memorial has now been created and the purposes of the charity has now been met, an application to have the charity closed has now been submitted

Weekly coffee mornings,Monthly Boot Fairs, Fashion show and Christmas Fayre, Facilities used by local groups including Tai Chi, Yoga, Line Dancing,Short Mat Bowls, Photo club, Bowling Club and Parish Council. Intermittent parties, weddings, caravan clubs and now 13 Dog clubs use our facilities.

The charity was set up to relieve the suffering and distress of unwanted, stray or ill treated German Shepherd dogs primarily but not exclusively.

Supporting and offering guidance to people with hearing impairment in the community.Deaf Social Club, Deaf Blind Group, Hard of Hearing , Hand in Hand Club meet monthly, B.S.L & Lip Reading classes take place weekly. A monthly drop in Hearing Aid Clinic is also held.Social events include coffee mornings,lunches, garden party & bar-b-que, Hearing dogs for the deaf & Deaf youth club alsomeet.

FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF DOGS IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION AND, IN PARTICULAR, TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN RESCUE HOMES OR OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION, CARE AND TREATMENT OF SUCH ANIMALS.

WAGS Retired Police Dog Charity is an independent charity set up to help the retired Police Dogs from Wiltshire, Avon, Gloucestershire and Somerset Police. WAGS provides financial assistance in emergency situations where a large vets bill may mean a decision is made about the dogs future based on cost. We are hoping with WAGS help any decisions are based only on the dogs welfare needs.

T.A.P Assistance Dogs aim is to provide trained assistance dogs to children with ASD. All monied raised is used with the sole intention of procuring suitable puppies and then financing their training and support. The charities aim is to operate throughout the UK.

Two agricultural shows held each year May & August - Weather permitting. Attendance 4,000 plus. May show includes gymkhana, dog show, trade fair plus attractions. August show includes horses, cattle, sheep, dogs, trade fair & attractions. All helping to raise public awareness & interest in local agriculture.No shows held in 2020, 2021 due to Covid 19. The rescue and rehoming of boxer dogs who have been abused, abandoned or surrendered. The rescue is completely run by volunteers and exists solely on donations from the public. All dogs receive a behavioural assessment and are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, wormed and we have a spaying and neutering program for all dogs coming through the rescue.

RANA aim to relieve the suffering of dogs and cats across Libya and Tunisia who are in need of care and medical assistance. By sterilising, finding new homes and educating the public on how to take better care of their animals, RANA aim to reduce the number of unwanted strays both on the streets and across shelters in Tunisia and Libya.

Five Circles Dog Rescue rescues and looks for loving homes in the UK for Spanish abandoned, stray and pound dogs whilst providing a safe haven for the most vulnerable dogs, which would not survive in pound conditions.

SHEEPDOG TRIALS

The charity benefits all people who are in need of help with issues surrounding the ownership and well-being of the Vizsla dog regardless of their circumstances.

Dog Kennels - provides temporary homes and care for abandoned dogs and cats while new homes are found.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE; CHILDRENS PARTIES, FESTIVALS & FUN DAYS, DOG TRAINING, PRIVATE FUNCTIONS, CUBS & SCOUTS, TODDLERS GROUP, KARATE, ANNUAL & PUBLIC COMMUNITY EVENTS.

Finding good homes for homeless cats and dogs.

We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs from across the UK and abroad from a life of abuse and neglect or under threat of death. We are committed to ensuring that the rescue and rehoming of sight hounds is a significant part of our workWe have a policy of non-destruction, unless to prevent incurable suffering. Our dogs remain with us for however long it takes to find them the right home.

The Lach Dennis Village Hall is a premises held in trust by the earlier mentioned trustees. It is managed by a committee for the benefit of residents of Lach Dennis & surrounding areas. It provides a venue for many activities. E.G. dancing, indoor bowling, bingo. Dog Training, Parish Council meetings, plant society flower shows, bridge, yoga etc.

We maintain a well kept village hall providing facilities for local and non local residents. Activities include facilities for badminton, weekly circuit training, weekly special needs playgroup, Ring Craft. RAD is a UK membership based charity that support RAD Members living with Diagnosed Mental Health Impairments by training their own dogs to become their Assistance Dogs, trained to the highest UK Standards to achieve Public Access status and recorded on a central register for verification purposesRAD provide Info & support for MH issues to the Charity UK Members & UK Public through Education

Fund Raising for street dogs in Nepal.

The Hall is a hub for the village. Clubs using the facilities include: Indoor Bowls, Badminton, Aerobics and Keep Fit. Regular users are a pre-school club, day centre for elderly, the W.I. dancing classes and dog training. It is also hired for private events. Fund raising events are held to ensure that the facility is maintained for the benefit of the community.
