Armed forces Charities That specialise in Army

To support members of the former Staffordshire Regiment and members of the present day Mercian Regiment. This support will mainly be in the area of sports and recreation for soldiers and help to families' activities when the soldiers are away from home on operations or training.

The King's Shropshire Light Infantry Regimental Museum incorporates the traditions and history of the Regiment. It collects, documents, conserves, exhibits and interprets items relevant to the history of the Regiment.

Devon Army Cadet Force which helps train young people in the Devon area.

To provide an open space for children such as the Scouts and Army Cadets to carry out activities.

To promote the wellbeing of ex and serving personnell of Parachute Regimental Association and Airborne Forces

To provide relief and assistance to needy with special regard to widows, orphans and invalids of the Battalion. The assistance is in the form of donations and the majority is for the elderly.

Yeomanry Regimental Collection

Responsible for historic collections, exhibitions, events and enquiry services relating to the history of the York and Lancaster Regiment and its forbears.

Upholding the tradition of the Green Howards through the running of a museum.

THE COLLECTION, CONSERVATION AND PUBLIC DISPLAY OF ALL ITEMS OF HISTORICAL AND MILITARY INTEREST RELATING TO THE DUKE OF LANCASTER'S OWN YEOMANRY AND OTHER VOLUNTARY CAVALRY UNITS IN LANCASHIRE AND ADJACENT AREAS. THE PHYSICAL COLLECTION IS CURRENTLY (SPRING 2023) IN STORAGE, THE TRUSTEES ARE IN THE PROCESS OF ESTABLISHING THE COLLECTION IN LANCASTER CASTLE. THIS IS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW JULY25 .

Regimental Collection

The Trustees are responsible for ensuring that the Regimental Memorial and the grounds are used only for the purpose in which they were given. They have no financial responsibility, as that lies with the Trustees of The Mercian Regiment. The Trustees have approved the resurfacing of the footpath to the Tower with an anti-slip material.

Supporting past and present members of the Association and their families. Supports other Regimental affiliated charities when required. Make grants to individuals and organisations as and where the requirement exists.

We are a Royal Naval Association Branch supporting ex ROYAL NAVY, R.N.R. & RNXS personnel and their families etc we are supporting local and national seafaring charities, we are registered and governed by the Royal Naval Association's Royal Charter. We host visits from RNA Branches, Army and RAF Regiment get togethers in our 'Tri Service Mess' member & community events

HCVA undertakes mission and evangelism in the UK and overseas through outreach work, Christian meetings and conferences, television ministry, and practical aid to orphans and missionaries.

The Trust continued to fund raise for the Soroptimist International charities, with donations being made to the Salvation Army, BAWSO (Black African Women Step Out), and New Pathways.Recycling of jewellery and other items continues throughout the Wales South Region, The work to raise awareness of Trafficking is ongoing, a symposium, Combating Modern Slavery was held in early 2015.

Subsidised sports parachuting for serving military, ex military (veterans) and sponsorship for ex servicemen wounded in battle.

To promote the efficiency of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces To relieve either generally or individually persons who are serving or who have served in The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress. The commemoration and remembrance of those members of Airborne Forces who have died while on active service.

To provide welfare, support and friendship to both serving and retired members of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces and their dependents in our local areaTo promote the efficiency of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces by any charitable means including but not limited to fostering espirit de corp and maintaining contact between past and present members. To remember fallen comrades.

We organise social functions, dances etc in order to raise funds to help support ex-members of The Parachute Association whoare struggling.

The Branch exists to furthery the purpose and aims of the Parachute Regimental Association (Charity Commission number 214015). As part of a national network the branch is expected to follow guidance set by the executive committee of the main Association.
