Arts Charities That specialise in Dance

Helping our local youth to develop their talents (potentials) in the area of singing, dancing, playing different types of musical instruments. Also, we are involved in street pastoring, to cut or eradicate crime in our area (community).

Cheddar Village Hall serves the community of Cheddar Parish and nearby areas. It functions as a venue for hire by local organisations and contains a large hall with a stage, 2 meeting rooms, a kitchen and toilets. A large number of local organisations use it including Cheddar Valley U3A, dance classes, 4 badminton clubs, a Country Market, society meetings, Church meetings and many others.

The Community Centre is available for all different Activities which include Bowls, Whist,Line Dancing,Keep Fit Classes and pre school it is also available for weekend hire for functions such as Weddings and birthday parties. We also have a meeting room.

Harmony is a voluntary based fully integrated performing arts group, specialising in activities including singing and dancing to technical and prop making for the disadvantaged and all others that can care and share in the community. Through Harmony we offer the young and the not so young, opportunities to discover talents and develop skills which in turn will enable them to grow in confidence.

Llanfair Caereinion Public Hall & Institute is a community resource for the whole town and surrounding villages. Activities inc. library, polling booth (elections), WI, Merched y Wawr, Celf Able arts group, Homely Club, indoor bowls, Young Farmers, dance, drama, recording studio, local history group, concerts, Llanfair carnival, Christmas lights, wedding receptions, funeral teas, parties, etc.

Promotion of events - particularly Street Arts and site specific projects including drama, music, dance, circus, visual arts in contexts which further public appreciation of and participation in the arts. The Charity aims to raise funds for it's own use or for the benefit of other groups who have the same or similar goals.

To advance the education of the public in the arts, in particular the art of dance in all its aspects. An annual dance festival is promoted for all children between the ages of 5 and 21.

We host numerous activities Currently -:Bowls , Tap dancing class ,Craft session ,Karate club,Excercise classes -:Legs bums tums, Mellow moments .Also used by WI and Global Care. We also have a fortnightly meat bingo, and monthly Quiz night besides various other social events throughout the year.

Music and Dance Education Trust provides creative arts development within early years, schools and extended schools, youth and community and health care settings. Participants ages range from 0-90+, including disabled people. The Trust works closely with a range of partners from the Public, Private and Third Sectors in order to establish innovative arts programmes in Cornwall.

Educational - Provision of performance opportunities for amateurs of all ages in the arts of music, dance and speech

To further education in the arts in its widest sense in the Waterside Parishes of the New Forest, through Festivals of music, art, dance and drama. It is an enabling organisation bringing together local groups and providing venues for them to perform, along with publicity and general administration. The trustees can also help other like-minded organisations within their geographical area.

WABS gives young people, up to the age of 18 years, the experience and opportunity of dancing in public at venues in and around the Bournemouth area. It also gives grants for students from affiliated schools wishing to attend courses to further their ability and also subsidise workshops taken by professional teachers and choreographers.

Promote amateur theatre - providing opportunities for all ages and sectors of the population to gain performing and inter-personal skills in acting, singing and dancing, and theatre production.

Hindu religious activities are going on regularly. People are using centre for meditation and evening prayers. Yoga classes are held once a week. Hindi language classes are being held. Pleasure coach trips are also being organised. We have started dance classes once a week.

The charity organises activities such as indoor & outdoor bowls, whist, bridge, drama, badminton, cycling, artists classes etc. The premises are also used by outside organisations for karate classes, keep fit, aerobics, children dance classes etc. Parties and receptions may also be held in the main hall.

The EPCC have Ballet Dance Sessions Monday to Saturday during School Terms, Acrobatics on a couple of days a week. Yoga on Mondays. A craft & Sewing Group on Tuesday mornings. Mondays & Wednesdays Short Mat Bowls. Keep fit on Thursday mornings with BHLive. Karate on Saturday afternoons. Sunday mornings for Guides & Brownies. 4-hour Booking for Private birthday parties on Sunday afternoons.

LTS Academy offers Musical Theatre, Dance, Drama and Singing training to local children from the age of three to sixteen years of age.
