Through a Management Committee, it runs a community facility for the use of the public; activities include drama, music, dance performances, band practices, Film Club and lectures.

The Highbridge Festival of the Arts exists as a not for profit organisation. We offer local people of any age, gender, ethic group, able bodied or disabled, the opportunity to give a public performance of the performing arts. i.e. Dance, Speech and Drama and Music Vocal or Instrumental.

At the present time Asheldham & Dengie parish room have finished presenting a pantomime (old mother hubbard) involving all age ranges from the Dengie Peninsular. Dance classes, dog training classes and a childrens nursery hire the hall on a regular basis.Any profits from the pantomime are allocated to other local charities. Funds from classes go toward the upkeep of the hall.

Educational and leisure activities which include the following, walking, gardening, bridge, line dancing, local history, art history, literature, creative writing. Hand bell ringing, practical art, creative writing, poetry reading, garden bowls, music appreciation, jazz appreciation.

This is a two story village hall providing meeting rooms and facilities for snooker, badminton, drama, dance, keep fit and social events.The hall is also used as our local polling station and for village meetings.

The Charity produces at least two productions each year which are performed to the public. In addition to this, KYDS organises regular workshops for young people to develop their skills in acting, singing and dance which also develop other skills such as confidence, communication skills and teamwork. The Charity also organises fundraising and other community events.

Arrangement of cultural activities - visits to shows (musicals, drama, opera, ballet, etc) or outings to places of interest. KlezNorth primarily provides an annual weekend of klezmer music and dance, yiddish song, film talks and other activities related to klezmer and its Jewish roots. It is primarily a participant workshop event, though usually includes a public concert. It may also run other events in the year that promote klezmer music and dance, Yiddish song and associated cultural activities.
