Arts Charities That specialise in Festival

The Lions part develops and produces theatrical productions and events. The main events are two free outdoor festivals which take place in Southwark : October Plenty and Twelfth Night (more information and pictures on the Lions part website). We also takes part in other events and educational activities.

For the public benefit, to advance the education of the general public in and to promote their appreciation of the art and science of music by the provision of an annual music festival in Penkhull, Stoke-On-Trent and other associated events.The festival is held every September over 3 days. Kol Rina is a charity that holds prayer services, lectures, classes and activities that celebrate Jewish religious festivals and events. Kol Rina also aims to contribute to social welfare and the relief of poverty, in connection with the Jewish religion. Kol Rina operates in North West London.

Running the Annual LGBT Pride Festival to celebrate the diversity of the LGBT community and to increase the social cohesion and inclusiveness of the LGBT local community. Other events are organised including but not limited to IDAHOT, TDOR, National Coming Out Day, TDOV, World Aids Day, LGBT History Month. Running awareness campaigns surrounding LGBT sexual health and identity issues.

The Charity carries out Church activities, Mass takes place every Sunday at St. Luke's church. To advance the Christian religion for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and distributing literature on Christianity to enlighten other about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Performance each year of several concerts of choral music from a variety of periods, with particular specialization in works from the renaissance and early baroque. Organization of public workshops for singers and conductors interested in the above repertoire.Members of the Consort are also involved as volunteers in the running of the annual Brighton Early Music Festival.

Provision of education and appreciation of music, drama and the performing arts.

The hall is used for Indoor Bowls, Childrens Club, Whist Drives, private parties, dinners, discussion groups, Village Enhancement fundraising, Church eg Harvest Festival supper, also theatre group proffessional use it once a year. It is also hired out by various sporting clubs particularly in the summer eg cyclists.It has all facilities for the diabled.

Cornwall Music Festival is staged annually and includes both competitive and non-competitive classes for a diverse range of music and spoken word performances.

BPF provides a support network and accessible opportunities for early-career, lens-based artists and curators in south east England. BPF promotes outstanding new talent, encouraging ambition and fostering creative entrepreneurship amongst its growing networks. BPF delivers a biennial festival in Brighton & Hove as well as year-round public engagement and artist support programmes.

The community centre is a place where various activities are held - community activities, social group meetings, cultural activities, concerts, drama, eisteddfod, rehearsals, lectures, coffee mornings, fundraising activities, committee meetings, private functions, religious/ chapel associated meetings, educational/training activities

The Hall Committee put on regular events (quizzes, ceilidh, carnival, food evenings etc) and it has regular weekly user-groups (scouts, art group, garden club, dog training, craft and chat, WI, book Club, Wine Circle etc). Everything is aimed at encouraging and protecting a sense of community.

TO ADVANCE THE ISLAMIC FAITH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEACHING OF THE HOLY QURAN AND THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PEACE BE UPON HIM) IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS AND PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON THE ISLAMIC FAITH TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS

The choir is open to ladies over the age of sixteen regardless of culture. The choir participates in festivals throughout the country promoting choral activities to a wide audience. The choir also gives concerts throughout the year to the benefit of many local churches and charities including a local school for children with special needs.

To promote the art of brass band music, particularly, but not exclusively, though the organising and staging of a brass band music festival in Pershore.

TO PROVIDE A HALL FOR ALL TO USE FOR SOCIAL USE

During this year we raised funds doing events such as; Beer Festival, boxing day dip, Tombola, Paint Run proceeds from these and other events enabled us to make donations to Lions charities & projects plus other organisations as well as providing finance for community related services & activities within our area.

The charity supports and promotes the performance of live music of all sorts in all sorts of places and by all sorts of people, professional and amateur alike. One of its key activities is organising small scale concerts by professional musicians in local primary schools, at no cost to the schools. It organises a local music festival and a series of approximately monthly concerts.

The charity manages the finances of the Orthodox Parish of the Nativity of Christ: it financially supports the Thyateira Deanery (within the Archdiocese of Thyateira & Great Britain) and its events (the annual Conference & Festival and Children's Camp) as well as financially supporting the Rector's pastoral (including his voluntary chaplaincy) work.

The charity runs a competitive performing arts festival covering speech, drama, singing and instrumental music.
