EOCT is the cultural development agency for Oxfordshire. We create new opportunities for arts and heritage organisations whilst nurturing new festivals and spectacular events. We also work to engage as many people as possible in exciting & enjoyable cultural experiences, raising Oxfordshire's profile as a cultural destination within the UK & internationally.

We organise a festival week - sports day - xmas & may day lunches & outings - publish 3/4 community newspapers - offer general advice direction to other agencies - support other community organisations - campaign on community issues.

Our aim is to advance the education of the general public living in Kirklees (particularly in the township of Slaithwaite) by promoting activities including artistic exhibitions, performances of music, drama and story telling, multimedia crafts and lantern making. We also stage celebratory festival of Lanterns and Storytelling in Slaithwaite on a regular basis.

Beeraahaar Sweet Combination offers a wide range of artistic skills in carnival craft: The ability to design large scale artwork - "mas pieces" paint & decorate artwork: Banner making, design and make body 'carnival' costume & gain confidence to participate in various carnivals & self esteem.

The society is providing;Sikh religious worker/minister to the community for prayer meetings, lectures & religious festivals.Teaching services in Punjabi, Gurumukhi & skills of playing Tabla and Harmonium.

The Friends of Rescorla seek to promote the study and celebration of Cornish culture. Based in the village of Rescorla's old Methodist Chapel in mid-Cornwall, the Centre is developing a series of cultural and educational initiatives in association with Cornish Story (www.cornishstory.com). The centrepiece of its activities is an annual festival programme at Rescorla commencing in June 2008.

The Shaheed Bhagat Singh Welfare Centre continue to provide:Accomodation to community voluntry groups. Provides advise on welfare benefits, immigration issues, filling forms, writing letter, interpration, translations, sign post to ther relevant service providers, Advocacy service, activities to raise awareness on health and education related issues. to Cebtrate festivals.Training courses.

Maintaining and sailing two preserved sailing vessels a Humber Keel (Comrade) and a Humber Sloop (Amy Howson) We also supply information to schools on the working history and attend maritime festivals to promote the awareness of these vessels.
