Arts Charities That specialise in Literature

We are a group of parents,teachers and friends who hold various activities and events to raise money to provide extra things for the children at our school. During the past 2 year we haven't been able to have many events due to covid but what money we have raised and we have paid for playtime equipments, books and other things to enrich the lives of the children at our school.

The Society was founded to encourage the knowledge and study of history within Battle and the surrounding area. This is achieved through a programme of illustrated lectures by specialists in their subjects and the publication of books and journals that are relevant to the local history of Battle.

To raise funds to support the school and children with activities such as swimming, farm visits, purchasing IT equipment, sports equipment and educational books.

We hold monthly lectures on geology & related sciences, run geological day field trips & an annual residential field trip. We publish our journal, Outcrop, twice a year, maintain our website and support local geological initiatives. We have a table at Festival of Geology, Sussex Min & Lap, day events at local museums, support the Worthing Heritage Alliance & answer queries from the public.

Provides training courses in smallholding, self sufficiency and traditional crafts. Arranges visits to smallholdings and other events on smallholding related topics.The group has equipment for members to borrow, quarterly magazine and regular newsletter, supplier discounts and helplines for members for advice and support.Promotes smallholding to the public.

Relief of poverty for Pakistan families and individuals in need, identified by the management team. Education grants, provision of quality literature in various languages. Educational grants for disadvantaged individuals in London who are known to the trustees and sponsored by donors by the Directors. Educational events run by the Directors in inner London. UK admin.

To advance the education of the public in the subjects of local history, family history and other subjects relating to the collections of Horsham Museum and Art Gallery and to assist and support the development of the charitable work of the museum, its collections and library in such ways as the trustees shall think fit for the benefit of the public.

The Friends of the Harris exists to support the work of the Harris Museum, Art Gallery & Library through fundraising. In recent years we have funded a range of projects, including purchases, conservation, exhibitions, community-focussed work and a capital development.

Advancement of Christian religion by showing the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic peoples descend from the Biblical Tribes of Israel who face a particular duty to proclaim to all nations God's clear Scriptural teaching on how humans should conduct their lives. We declare this in the UK & abroad by a regular magazine, booklets, recordings & public lectures as well as historical/prophetical research work.

C.L.O.W.N.S. MISSION STATEMENT is to improve the quality of life for families by providing quality support to those living in isolated circumstances, by delivering support to parents/ carers and opportunities to 0-13 year olds, encouraging families to learn, thrive and be happy. Services include Parent/Toddler groups, Activity Sessions, Toy Library, Outreach support and Holiday Playschemes.

Funds for church projects are raised by volunteers providing refreshments in the church hall - usually on Sunday afternoons during the summer. Second hand books and bric/brac are also sold.

The charity runs a weekly cafe in Yateley for people with Dementia or Cognative Impairment. Together with family and carers, people can socialise in a safe and supportive environment. Specialist activities and entertainment are provided and a wide range of literature and support is available to assist carers.

Knowl Hill C of E Academy PTA raises funds for the benefit of the children of Knowl Hill C of E Academy. We raise funds through Christmas and Summer fairs, cake sales, book sales, discos and other fundraising events. Our aim is to enrich our childrens time at school by enabling the school to invest in equiptment or facilities they cannot otherwsie afford.

The purpose of the charity is to maintain a community library to advance the education of local public, encourage public awareness and develop community cohesion, provide equal opportunities to people of all ages without any discrimination, to encourage community groups to work together and raise funds for public benefit in the area of Waltham Forest.

To provide by any legal means a public library service to the parish of Cosby and the surrounding area. In providing this service we intend to enhance the education and wellbeing of the community by supporting social and educational activities through in-house and bought in services . The library will also be a source for the dissemination of local information.

GfGD exists to champion the role of geology in sustainable development, mobilising and reshaping the geology community to help deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals (2015/2030). We do this through (i) education and training (e.g., workshops, seminars, university outreach, publications, conferences), (ii) practical development projects (e.g., capacity building, providing technical advice).

The extension of the awareness of the truth of the Bible and its teaching by the publication and circulation of relevent literature, and the arranging of public meetings. The charity makes grants of selected study books to students at Bible Colleges, Theological Seminaries etc.

Our hall is a converted school. It consists of hall, committee room, well equipped kitchen & toilets. It offers a focal point for the village to meet for social and fund raising events, such as Pilates, short mat bowls, Band practice, Messy Church children's activities and other events. Both residents and non residents can book the hall, For bookings up to 70 people. Hire rates very reasonable.

The organisation Provided help and support to some of the residents of Bangladesh, the poor people with Rickshaw and sewing machine, also provided shelter to the poor people in Bangladesh and acadenic books to the youth built mosques,Supported to run Darul Qirat courses in Bangladesh which was attended by many scholars to engage and encourage the youth to develop cultural activities in the UK.

The trusts provides support to poor and needy children and young people in secondary and higher education in Grenada. The support consists of the purchase of text books, payment of exam and tuition fees, and school bus fares. Without this support the children and young people could not continue their education.

The object of the charity is the advancement of education for the public benefit in the area served by Rock Road Library, in particular but not exclusively by: (a) supporting and promoting library services (b) facilitating educational, cultural and community courses, events and exhibitions in both the library and its garden (c) fostering links to educational, cultural and community organisations.

The free provision for the registered blind or partially sighted of recordings of a weekly talking newspaper with local news, a monthly talking magazine with topics of interest and a talking books library service.

The PTFA organises fund raising schemes such as fun runs, school discos, school calendar etc in order to generate funds that can be spent to benefit the children of the school. Examples of where we have invested the money we have raised includes buying new books for school, a new shed and the completion of aQuiet Garden, subsidising school trips and putting in special seasonal events.

We are a PTA that raises money for the school for example computer, books, playground equipment. All fundraising events are held at the school . Our events include Xmas Fayre, Quiz Night, Summer Fayre and Discos.
