NBVH provides a social focus for the community.It provides facilities for local groups e.g book club, art, history group, sewing group, parish council, parochial council meetings. It provides a venue for social events for the community quiz nights, table tennis, cinema evenings and is also available at extremely reasonably rates for private hire e.g. children's parties, large family occasions.

The Society runs an annual program of 12 talks, open to members and visitors, on topics that are relevant to the history and culture of Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area. The Society maintains a catalogued archive of original documents, maps, photographs, recordings, artefacts and books at the Birchcliffe Centre in Hebden Bridge. It also publishes books on the history of the area.

Education of the public by promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the City of Salford Museums in co-operation with management and staff. This has included a project to mark the centenary of WW I, assisted by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, projects to further develop the gardens at Ordsall Hall as a heritage resource and supporting local heritage magazine The Salford Link.

We are providing school activities for primary school children, and the attached school run nursery. Sports equipment, books and educational items.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BME YOUNGSTERS AND TEENAGERS OF ANY AGE IN WEST LONDON, IN THE SUBJECTS OF CITIZENSHIP, ISLAMIC EDUCATION AND QURANIC TEACHING, BY THE PROVISION OF TRAINING PROGRAMMES, ACTIVITIES AND TEXT BOOK RESOURCES.

The organisation will, in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, provide a library service to the people of Stokenchurch and surrounding villages. We will also act as a broader "information hub", providing information on local events, local organisations, local volunteer vacancies, local facilities etc. We will look to use the venue to offer talks andother related activities.

We raise funds by holding several events during the school year. Funds are spent to enhance the school experience of Ark Blacklands Primary Academy pupils. A proportion of funds are allocated annually to each year group to be spent on workshops/trips. The remaining funds are used for extra books/ICT equipment, play equipment etc. Any staff member can request funding by applying to the charity.

We organise events for the children who attend the school in order to raise funds. These funds are used to enrich the children's school experience. We organise discos, mothers day events, Easter events, etc. We have contributed funds towards travel to Christmas panto, student of the year award, books for Christmas for every child.

The PTA run various fundraising events throughout the school year such as Christmas and Summer fayres, family bingo, children's and adults quizes. It also raises funds through mechanisms such as Webb Ivory and Invitation books. The funds raised are spent in support of the school on things such as playground equipment, musical equipment and extra curricular events for pupils.

Communicating matters of interest to residents through a Community magazine, Facebook Group and Noticeboard.Holding regular public meetings at which residents can raise issues of concern and general interest.Assisting residents and liaising with local authorities and other organisations on issues affecting the community.Managing a nature project aimed at improving biodiversity in the area.

Promotes knowledge and appreciation of the lives and works of A.E. Housman, other members of his family and the causes of literature and poetry.Activities include the publication of an Annual Journal, a Newsletter twice a year, Poetry Readings and Discussions, Commemorations in Bromsgrove and Ludlow, an Annual Lecture and the publication of books about A.E.Housman & family.

The Sri Lankan Educational Foundation has been established to offer help with educational and other resources to students in a rural area of Sri Lanka, who may not have sufficient resources to continue their education. These will include help with their primary needs such as books, clothes and furniture .
