Arts Charities That specialise in Music

The Orlando Chamber Choir is a small London based choir which exists to promote enjoyment of music.

Amateur dramatics society that performance 5/6 times per year, in order to advance the public knowledge and appreciation of music and drama. Our theatre is also available to hire for events, and local groups in need of a space.

Promote the arts and advance education in the arts, particularly in music, through the provision of such musical seminars, classes, workshops, performances and festivals as shall be thought fit. Musical tuition of the highest standard is provided to promising students who otherwise would not be to receive such tuition, as well as to schoolchildren in underprivileged areas of the West Midlands.

Choral Society performing 3 concerts annually.

To promote, advance, encourage, develop and improve education, particularly musical education, by disseminating knowledge of music generally and in particular by providing, presenting, organising, producing, promoting and managing concerts, operas, ballets.

The charity fulfils its purposes through giving concerts, making recordings and running workshops. Where possible , amateur choirs are invited to be involved in performances. The charity also engages in primary trading through its website, selling scores and CDs. The website is also used to distribute free scores and advice to choirs wishing to develop experience in singing female-voice polyphony.

TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONGST CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED THROUGH THE MEDIA OF MUSIC, DRAMA, DANCE AND ART WITH THE AIM OF ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, AND PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS.

Presentation of three choral music concerts each year in public venues. Admission to members of the public who have bought tickets. Choir members trained by musical director at weekly rehearsals between September and April.

QQF (Quite Quite Fantastic) is a charity promoting social inclusion for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities through drama, dance, music, games, sport and prop-making.

The promotion of a festival of the arts within the area of Stroud District Council and other events. To develop public interest in and knowledge of drama in the Church. Visual and dramatic arts, music poetry and ballet and to increase public appreciation of good design in architecture, in industrial products and in crafts and craftmanship and in general to advance education in the arts and artisti

Actvities:Harif organises a broad range of events to educate about the history and culture of Jews from the Middle East and North Africa - these include, the full gamut:- Lectures, Discussions, Films, Book launches, Cookery Demonstrations, Concerts at communal halls, synagogues, churches and educational establishments. During the CV19 pandemic, we have been using Zoom meetings and webinars.

To promote the advancement and improvement of general education in relation to all aspects of the arts of drama, music and other such arts and the development of public appreciation and interest in such arts.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public choral concerts and recitals and by such other ways as the Society through its commitee shall determine from time to time.

The Society was founded in 1896 with the object of educating the public in the arts and sciences and in particular the art and sciences of music by the study, practice and performance of music and other such activities as may be felt by the committee to be incidental to the achievements of these objectives.

The aim is to advance the education of the general public in the appreciation and understanding of music and its history with special emphasis on the music of JS Bach. The Society runs regular concerts in Farnham and Godalming and educational activities in schools. Farnham Sinfonia became part of the Society in 2018 but became a separate charity in 2022.

To promote the education and knowledge of Welsh arts generally and support Welsh language music andculture in West Wales particularly by the promotion of educational music concerts and the encouragementof the arts, including the arts of music, singing, drama, mime, dancing and the formulation and preparationand establishmnet of scheme therefor

Parent & Toddler Group,Wives Club,Bridge Club, Musical Society, Over 65s Activity Group, WARP Games Group, Art Class, Dance Fit, Craft Class, Mesothelioma, Walking club, Wing Chun club, Jodo Club, Truth Seekers meetings, Meditation Group. The premises are available for hire,one large hall,two lounge rooms for up to 40 persons,one meeting for 20 persons, kitchen facilities are available

The band provides musical entertainment at a range of events throughout its local community. Tuition is also provided to individuals of all ages.

Presentation of choral and orchestral concerts, mainly in Woodstock, occasionally in Oxford.

The Westmorland Orchestra is a "classical" symphony orchestra with around 50 members. We rehearse weekly in Kendal and present 3 concerts each year in Kendal and elsewhere in Westmorland. Our repertoire is broad and includes occasional commissions of new works.

Rising Voices Wessex is a community choir based in Dorset for people affected by cancer. Singing helps people to regain their confidence and improves their health and wellbeing. The choir provides support and encouragement; aiding recovery through singing. Together, we make music that matters. Whether we're pitch perfect or delightfully off beat, we sing with our hearts and that's a real gift.

Developing creative learning and appreciation of music by young persons allowing them to develop their individual skills and potential. This is being carried out in association with schools and by performances of " Tunes from the Trenches" at museums and other locations throughout the West Midlands.

The trustees make small one off grants for talented children (music, drama, the arts). They do not pay school fees.
