Arts Charities That specialise in Music

The charity engages in musical activities and is a community choir. Currently the full choir consists of around forty singers from different nations who share a common interest in music.

Amateur and community orchestral society, classical music

Kingston Philharmonia is an amateur orchestra which normally performs three concerts a year, including a wide variety of music. It brings classical music into the heart of the community; gives local musicians the opportunity to rehearse and perform a broad classical repertoire; and provides an accessible and affordable alternative to the big London concert venues for local people.

Provision of classical music as an educational support for the young and as a cultural support for the elderly incorporating solo performance opportunities to young and talented musicians.

To assist in the Musical Education of students at schools and colleges in Hampshire by providing financial support to the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra, and the String Orchestra.The Friends contribute to the cost of residential training courses and ensure opportunities are open to all.

Running contesting, community and training brass bands open to people of all ages and abilities with the aim of furthering musical education and engaging in public performance.

We produce two fully staged, costumed and lit operas each year. In order to do this we audition for principal roles and have a regular group of chorus members.Our singers come from all walks of life, various nationalities and range in age from early twenties to late seventies.We employ a professional Music Director, professional stage directors and we rehearse twice a week.

We bring music-theatre performances and workshops to children in the UK and overseas (who in particular but not exclusively have restricted access to the arts). In 2015, we performed over 40 shows to underprivileged children in Brazil, Peru, and Germany,

Presenting public concerts of classical music.

The West Meon Music Festival is an annual chamber music event held in the Meon Valley in Hampshire every September. The programme features concerts and masterclasses by the Primrose Piano Quartet and guest musicians. Educational outreach to local schools also forms part of the programme.

The public performance of orchestral music

The Trustees make an annual award of a cash sum for musical composition and for performance in alternate years. Music students of any nationality being of either sex, below the age of 30, resident in Great Britain or any part of Ireland, as well as British Commonwealth students temporarily resident in Great Britain or Ireland for their musical education.

The Club promotes the appreciation of chamber music primarily by arranging recitals by renowned musicians in the Ship Theatre (Walthamstow School) in Sevenoaks. Admission by ticket is open to anyone, and discounted tickets are available, primarily through a season ticket scheme. The Club also provides a recital opportunity for two Sevenoaks Young Musician Competition participants each year.

Windsor A Cappella (WAC) fosters excellence in a cappella close-harmony singing. The charitable objects of WAC are to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, a cappella choral music through the presentation of public concerts, recitals, workshops. WAC supports other charitable organizations through the making of grants and donations.

The organisation provides enriching musical education for members of the University of London Symphony Orchestra (ULSO).

To educate the public in the art and sciences, and in particular the arts and sciences of music, in the presentation of concerts and other activities.
