Advancing, improving, developing and maintaining public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

To advance the musical education of young musicians with outstanding potential, by means of financial awards. These may be used to help purchase a better instrument, specialist sheet music, additional lessons or a masterclass, but not for routine expenses. Applicants must be either resident in, or students/former students of schools within the Woking Borough and be from 14 to 20 years of age.

The choir raises money through a fund-raising Christmas Concert in order to support a local Hospital, Health-related project, charity or organisation. The selected beneficiary varies each year, and the choir rehearses for the Concert from September to December.

we are an amateur choir whose objective is to advance ,improve,develop and maintain public education in appreciation of music .To further our charitable purpose , in particular through the making of grants and donations.

Community Brass Band

Heart of England Singers is a mixed choir, ages range from 16 to late 80s. We give several concerts a year plus performing for charities and church groups on request.

The charity creates community for those that are losing theirs by directing support and relief to people who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society as a result of their dementia and memory loss.The charity does so by providing the cared for and their carers with regular access to singing/music sessions, nourishing food and social eating.

Sing at concerts for other charities and worthwhile causes

The organisation is responsible for the management of an open age band and a youth band. Each year the bands perform at local and regional venues, taking part in twenty to thirty concerts, including a number for charity. The organisation delivers ab inito teaching for young people wishing to learn to play a brass instrument.

The provision of a fellowship for the furtherance of church music including relevant education and training.

THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF CHORAL MUSIC IN ORDER TO FOSTER THE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF SUCH MUSIC BY MEANS OF PUBLIC PERFORMANCE.

Halifax Young Singers provides a programme of weekly rehearsals and regular performance opportunities for singers aged 7 to 21. The choir welcomes all singers, irrespective of experience, and links up with other young musicians to provide quality music-making opportunities for all.

We provide opportunities for adults to rehearse orchestral music under professional guidance.We give public performances and organise workshops, not only to our members but as outreach to other players locally. We provide a platform for young solo artists at an early stage in their professional careers to perform in public eg.concert involving four young singers from Birmingham Conservatoire.

Carlisle Music Society organises and promotes six classical chamber music concerts per annum (Winter season). These concerts are given in St Cuthbert's Church, Carlisle.

The charity manages the village hall to provide a resource which can be used by anyone in the parish of West Witton. The hall is currently used by all age groups from school children to pensioners.Activities are varied and range from meetings and gatherings of user groups and gatherings for annual and other fund raising events such as the Cottage Show (August) and concerts/quiz..

Stainton Memorial Hall is a village hall which provides a venue for village organisations and societies/groups from a wider area. It also organises its own concerts, coffee mornings etc for fundraising and to improve the social life of the village. Village organisations inc: indoor bowls,exercise groups, dominoes, orchestra, dancing, art, sewing, womens institute, parish and community council, .

Production and perfomance of musical theatre for ages 8-80

A hospital broadcasting service ("Hospital Radio Reading") for the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Patients are visited in their wards and can phone in free from the bedside to take part in programmes. A live and interactive service of record requests, football commentaries & other entertainment (45 hours per week) is augmented by a non-stop automated service of music, news & information at other times.

We organise an annual musical and drama festival in Carlisle. Entries are mainly from young people but there are classes for adults. Musical classes cover singing and instrumental playing. We are members of the British and International Federation of Festivals for Music Dance and Speech.

To preserve and protect the physical and mental health of, and relieve the needs of, families who have suffered bereavement through the provision of financial assistance to organisations providing specialist bereavement support services.To advance the education of children and young people in music through the provision of financial assistance to organisations and school music departments.
