Community choir, rehearsing weekly (during school terms), with a professional conductor and pianist. Written music is not used. A concert at the end of each term, plus community projects and other gigs.

Orchestra plays concerts to raise monies for charities. Orchestra gives opportunities to local people to play instruments and learn about music.

The PCC is committed to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible and to allow Christians and seekers to become part of our Church community. The PCC makes suggestions on how our services can engage with the many groups that live within our designated parish area. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, scripture, music,sacrament and hospitality.

Denmead Brass are a community brass band based in Denmead. We perform locally at concerts, competitions, garden parties and charity events. We have a thriving training band led and assisted by current band members.

The charity aims to enhance the development and musical education of all its members; whether children, young adults and adults. The charity offers appropriate musical education for all members, in accordance with the 2010 equalities act. The charity takes part in many community activities, bringing music to public, private and civic events and bringing musical enjoyment to the wider community.

Talks, musical evenings, dances, quiz nights, yoga, local arts & crafts, carol concert, walks, parties, BBQ, parish council meetings, educational topics. In addition the halls facilities are available for hire, or are provided free for charitable events such as Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The committee organises lectures on the history of England and Japan, paintings and music of both countries, talks on current affairs, outings to visit historical buildings and churches. The Association keeps close touch with other women's associations. It is the trustees policy not to respond to unsolicited requests from individuals for assistance and only to make donations to registered charitie

The aim of Milnthorpe Steel Band is to bring steel pan music to a wider audience through the means of private and public performances, workshops and demonstrations in the public arena. We welcome anyone from the age of 8 yrs old and upwards to come and have a go wherever we are playing.

Dorset Sinfonia is an amateur classical orchestra drawing on the talents of musicians from throughout Dorset. Our mission is to provide a platform for amateur musicians of all ages to come together and enjoy performing music to the highest level of skill we can attain.

Performance of a range of different types of choral music.

Keynote Music has been established to enable the advancement of the arts through the promotion and presentation of new music, opera and theatre to the highest possible standard; and to advance the education of the public in opera and composers/ performers at early stages in their careers especially but not limited to helping those who are socially or economically disadvantaged/underrepresented.

To promote an interest in the arts, principally dance, music, speech and drama, by encouraging individuals and groups (particularly but by no means exclusively) of young people to perform, taking part in an annual festival.

Lamorna Village Hall is a granite built ex school house. It aims to serve the community by providing a central maintained venue for community activities. There is a wide range of events and activities including yoga, flower clubs, art exhibitions, plays, carol concerts and other events. The Hall is available for hire and is used widely for local family events.

Singing, chiefly concerts.

The Chagford Singers is a non-audition community choir in Chagford on Dartmoor, open to all. We meet weekly during term time for rehearsing and developing choral skills and prepare for three or more concerts a year, sometimes in collaboration with other musical groups. Our aim is to make singing an enjoyable experience for all and to bring a wide repertoire to our audiences in a rural location.

Ocean Brass are based in Southampton and operate in the immediate area around the city and in southern Hampshire. We are a brass band offering an opportunity for any brass players in the local community to come and play in a friendly and informal atmosphere. We also provide entertainment for the local community in which we live and work by playing at outdoor events and giving concerts.

The Heath Band is a community, non-contesting brass band which provides musical entertainment at concerts and local events. As well as the main band we also have a training band for all ages and abilities.
