Arts Charities That specialise in Music

We meet once a week to learn choral works with the help of a professional conductor and pianist. We aim to perform two or three concerts each year for the general public.

An annual festival for Music, Speech and Drama, held in March, which is open to all, and competitors receive an adjudication, with winner receiving a trophy. Also a High Scorers Concert in May.

Concert Band

Dunston Silver Band is a brass band based in Dunston in Gateshead, which performs in the Second Section in the North of England area. We rehearse twice-weekly and perform regularly at local events, concerts and contests. We also run a youth band, and through this offer free tuition, fun educational activities and use of instruments to any individual wishing to learn to play.

Basement Orchestra aims to advance the education of the public, and especially new audiences, in all aspects of musical performance. We seek to bring the finest western classical music to unexpected places across London and the South East using creative programming, non-traditional performance venues with a relaxed atmosphere and an informative approach to performances.

Provides artist and creative studio space, programmes, events, training, tours, residencies, talks, exhibitions, performances, publications, screenings and collaborative projects. Supports diverse, experimental artists, musicians and creatives in mentoring and general support services for better lives.

Performance of classical music, presenting three concerts for the public each year.Sponsorship of music tuition for children in a local school.

BAMS seeks to promote knowledge and love of music by promoting a series of high quality concerts in Bishop Auckland. The concerts are widely advertised and are open to the general public.

The provision of brass band education, tuition and enjoyment through the learning and playing of brass band instruments.

Hold a variety of fundraising events during the year including a Xmas Fayre and/or Xmas Music Concerts and a monthly lottery.Provide refreshments at a number of College events including Parents' evenings and New Intake eveningsSponsor an annual award for a pupil involved in fundraising and community activity.Produce a termly newsletter for parents and contribute to the College website.

Weekly club encouraging social interaction between beneficiaries. Activities include music, drama, games, sewing, theatre & restaurant visits. We annually hold our own "oscars" and "stars in their eyes" evenings. All activities are held in a safe & caring environment

To enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts, and sciences, to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national & international, in music drama and other cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare

We facilitate Christian singers, bands and worship leaders to perform music, lead worship, provide training and give the Christian message at events and other settings. We can also provide PA/lighting equipment & sound/lighting engineers. Events include community outreach, youth, schools, church services, cafe church, conferences, festivals & training workshops/seminars.

To provide a competitive and public platform for amateurs of all ages to perform the Arts: music, speech and drama with the educational benefit of encouragement and guidance from internationally recognised and qualified specialist adjudicators.

Funding of various activities including visits of pupils to art galleries, historic houses etc. Visits to school by theatre companies, musicians, and artists.

We work with school staff and governors, parents and pupils and help strengthen community links with the school by arranging an array of events and activities, for example; school discos, summer and winter fayre, arrange volunteer activities like gardening and reading, film evenings, provide volunteer help and fund raise at school events like concerts.

Bastille Day Fest promotes the arts, culture and heritage through the organisation of at least one yearly festival where the British culture and the European culture, more specifically French, are put on display through Food, Music, Fashion, Art and children/familly activities for people living in Reading and the whole of Berkshire.

We perform classical music concerts in the South Yorkshire to a higher standard than is usual, and present a greater range of classical and more 'popular' works as a result. We advertise widely and our audience is growing, as is thenumber of sponsors and supporters that we have attracted. We aim to bring and enhanceappreciation and enjoyment of choral music to as wide as possible an audience.

Raise funds to maintain & enhance the fabric of St Edmunds Parish Church, Sedgefield. Organise events for the local community e.g. quiz nights, concerts, trips, barbecue and provide opportunities for the building to be used as a community resource. Raise awareness of the building as a focus for activities.

Music Festival for competitors of all ages in music and speech from all districts of Cornwall .

We are a chamber orchestra who play classical music concerts with a particular emphasis on 20th century music. We also play works that are unjustly neglected to give the general public in East and West Sussex the opportunity to hear this music.
