Arts Charities That specialise in Music

We run a series of five concerts per season in East Sussex and Kent, catering partly for the many elderly people in the area who find it difficult to travel to hear serious live music and partly for the general public. We do our best to engage, among others, young performers early in their careers to enable them to gain experience and broaden their repertoires.

We provide concerts which are open to society members and the public. Students are admitted free of charge.We also organise 'workshops' at local schools for the advancement of 'musical literacy' in the young

To further and promote the work of the Cheltenham Music Festival

The Abingdon Music Festival Association provides opportunities for young musicians (and non-professional adult musicians) to give performances as conductors, singers or instrumentalists in front of an audience, and to be assessed by experienced adjudicators.

CHRISTMAS AND SUMMER FAIRS, GROTTOS, CAROL CONCERT, FASHION SHOWS, DISCOS

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals and by such other ways as the company though its director and trustees shall determine from time to time.Additional activities added to widen objects.

To provide training facilities and musical instruments to young persons within our own training band and for our senior band to perform at brass band concerts and other local events both indoors and out to our visitors and supporters, mainly within the county of Cornwall.

Choral Music Performance

Village Hall serving Litlington, Lullington and West Dean parishes. Also used by external organisations on an ad hoc basis. Provides venue for meetings (eg Parish Council), yoga, music and upholstery classes, church and parish parties and events and private children's parties.

THE OBJECT OF THE SOCIETY IS TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC GENERALLY, AND ESPECIALLY OF CHORAL MUSIC BY PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS AND RECITALS. THE SOCIETY MEETS AND PRACTICES FROM SEPTEMBER TO MAY, PUTTING ON TWO CONCERTS EACH YEAR. ONE CONCERT IS IN EARLY DECEMBER AND THE OTHER IS IN MAY.

We are a small amateur adult choir specialising in the performance of exciting and unusual unaccompanied choral music. We have a very broad, innovative and mainly secular repertoire which is challenging and interesting to both singers and audience alike. We are equally at home singing classical music in a tiny village church or light jazz in a concert hall.

Through community concerts and workshops the Oxford Concert Party, with an original and kaleidoscopic repertoire, makes music accessible to all. With passion and energy, humour and sensitivity, skill and experience, they take their listeners on a journey which transforms, heals and humanises, especially those imprisoned by isolation, disability, illness or walls.

The development of the appreciation of the art of male voice singing by promoting and participating in concerts.

TO ADVANCE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS UP TO THE AGE OF 21, BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC ORCHESTRAL CONCERTS

To develop and grow the art form of music in Milford Haven and throughout Pembrokeshire, through recitals, concerts and other performances. To assist in the development of young musicians in the town of Milford Haven through bursaries and other charitable donations.

The Wandering Minstrels delivers musical/theatrical performances that entirely focus on the Arts and exclusively focus on the works of Gilbert & Sullivan. The performances take place in a full range of venues around the UK and are open to all members of the public. The Director and Musical Director have huge expertise in the works of Gilbert and Sullivan and are widely recognised in their fields.

League for the period of 1.1.09 to 31.12.09, funded 48 concerts in the homes, give a Capita Grant of -ú25, so every resident received a Christmas present/party. In addition, in line with the Charity Commissions thought, we had a surplus of -ú3000 which we divided equally between the two trusts to re-fund, resulting in a wide variety of objects purchased for the benefit of the resident.

To assist the music service to facilitate high quality and diverse musical teaching and experiences for all the young people in Luton and its surrounding area(s).

The choir travel to various concert venues, singing to raise money for charities such as Leukaemia & Cancer Research, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to name but a few. Travel and other costs are taken from funds that are raised by holding coffee mornings and raffles. The choir website is now up and running thus enabling the public to find out more about the choir.

The performance of mainly ecclesiastical music in religious venues in Great Britain and abroad

The Octavians are a small group of singers holding three or four public concerts each year in the Woking area. During our concerts we sometimes collect for a charity. We have also supported young musicians in their careers. Each Christmas we sing carols for the local community, collecting for a variety of charities.

the Charity expends one third of its income in promoting the religious education of persons under the age of 25 in the area of benefit in accordance with the principles of the Church of England. The remaining two thirds is used to promote the education including music and the arts through awarding financial assistance.
