THE BAND IS PRIMARILY A COMMUNITY BRASS BAND PROVIDING A PLACE TO PLAY AND ENTERTAINMENT TO THE COMMUNITY. INCOME FROM SUBSCRIPTIONS AND DONATIONS IS USED FOR THE RUNNING AND UPKEEP OF THE BANDROOM. THE BAND REHEARSES ONCE A PPROX. 2 WEEKLY. THERE IS ALSO A JUNIOR BAND

The Nick Alexander Memorial Trust gives grants for musical instruments and musical equipment to small charities and community groups across the UK, particularly those representing disadvantaged communities.

Choral concerts in the Area of Operation, including performances in schools, prisons, museums and churches.

Provides opportunities for musicians to perform to small audiences, usually in private houses. Children are admitted free.

We use our community minibus to help socially isolated older people in this very rural part of the North York Moors. Public transport is sparse and not easily accessible. We run outings to lunches, shopping, cinemas, theatres, concerts, coffee mornings, garden centres and other places of interest. In addition we have weekly swimming trips. These people are thus able to be part of the community.

Promote annual concert series.

The friends raise money by holding various concerts, car boot sales, our strawberry tea, xmas bazaar, bbq/luncheon, various raffles, church stall/tea bar, sunshine bags.

We are an educational group promoting the use and enjoyment of keyboard instruments by means of monthly concerts by professional musicians and the opportunity for members to play before an audience of other club members. Also offering advice on playing techniques and interpretation.

We are a brass band that plays for community activities in the Peak District (carnivals, well dressings, Garland ceremonies etc.). We have a training section that provides free music tuition to aspiring brass players of all ages.

Allowance towards cost of travel in the UK or aborad for educational purposes.Studying music, arts science or maths. Applicants must be between the ages of 11 and 25 and reside (or their parent reside) in Gainsborough, Lea or Morton

Aging choral society giving 3-4 concerts per annum.

Arrow Valley Brass Band is a community brass band established promote & share the enjoyment & appreciation of brass band through teaching young and old to play; fundraising for instruments and equipment; supporting brass instrument tuition within local schools; performing in public concerts & other charity events each year; competing in brass band competitions (local & national) .

To promote, maintain and advance education by the encouragement of the arts, particularly music, for the public benefit by supporting the provision of activities available through Brent Music Service.

The Southwold Music Trust was founded to place concerts, community music-making and music education at the centre of Southwold and the surrounding communities. We facilitate musical activity of all kinds, working closely with key partners in the local area.
