Arts Charities That specialise in Music

Our charity runs a yearly Autumn Fayre, coffee afternoons with book Fayres, we also collect clothes for the air ambulance all of this helps to Fund the Panto trips, Educatational books for the children,provide the school with a photo copier and support the childrens christmas party. Our Charity also runs a Local music Group which helps the children and the local community learn music.

Promote, teach and preserve the cultural heritage of the Baganda people. We organise events which portray the rich culture, values, norms, music and poetry of the Baganda. We hosted workshops and seminars aimed at encouraging community dialogue on various issues such as crime prevention. We work with other community groups/charities in supporting young people to flourish in the community.

To provide for the public benefit ,opportunities for people of all ages in Overseal and the surrounding areas to participate in amateur community theatrical activities and productions. To promote the advancement and general education in relation to all aspects of the Arts of Drama and Music, and the development of a public appreciation of such Arts

Fundraising: Sponsored Knitting, Raffles, Craft Days, Concerts and Talks,

We run a weekly tuck shop for the children attending orchestra rehearsals. We raise funds at orchestra concerts via ticket sales/raffles. We accept donations and sometimes apply for relevant grants.

PROVIDES A PLACE FOR PARENTS/CARERS AND UNDER FIVES TO COME AND PLAY. WE HAVE TOYS, STORY TIME, MUSIC AND SING ALONG. WE PROVIDE REFRESHMENTS FOR PARENTS/CARERS AND CHILDREN.

Promotes and organises international tours and musical / cultural exchange and Bristol community-based performances of the People of Note choir, which is an open access community choir specialising in acapella harmony singing from a global repertoire of traditional, sacred and contemporary popular songs.

Provides young people in the Parish of Blockley with grants to help with music tuition and expenses in relation to educational travel and sports.

Offers financial support to young and student choristers in the choir of St Peter's Church, Nottingham for furtherance of their musical education and experience.

We promote musical education, musicianship and appreciation of music among children and young people who are in financial need in Derbyshire, particularly Wirksworth and area. We support, encourage, develop their musical skills particularly through support for musical instruction, for purchase or other acquisition of instruments, and through ancillary support.

TO ADVANCE THE TEACHINGS OF SHRI SHIRDI SAI BABA AS SET OUT IN THE BOOK SHRI SAI SATCHARITRA, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH PROVIDING PLACES OF WORSHIP, HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS, PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF INFORMATION ON SHIRDI SAI BABA THROUGH LITERATURE AND MUSIC, ASSISTING THOSE IN CHARITABLE NEED

Visits to organs (including overseas trips), educational events with reference to organ- and church music, organ-building and related topics (some specifically aimed at young people) and social meetings.

MUSIC STUDIO REHERSAL SPACE FOR LOCAL GROUPS, ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS. MUSIC WORKSHOPS FOR DISADVANTAGED GROUPS AND PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES. DIGITAL RECORDING STUDIO FACILITIES.

The Charity rescues well preserved and notable pipe organs from buildings due to be destroyed with a view to restoring them and reinstalling the organs in other buildings where they may be needed, extending their useful life.The Charity also provides bursaries and grants for young people interested in learning to play the organ, and promotes choral activities which complement the instrument.

Awarding grants to young musicians in the county

The object of the charity is to provide the advancement of education in music and subjects related thereto, of members of the orchestra and others. In order to achieve these objectives the charity holds fund raising activities of all kinds, sponsor concerts, rehearsals and courses, award prizes, bursaries and scholarships, assist in the provision of facilities, musical instruments and equipment.

We raise money through Concerts, Balls and shows to raise money to assist children in financial difficulty to access music/dance tuition.

We promote a series of up to ten chamber music recitals in a local (Bromsgrove) arts centre including up to three devoted to contemporary music; we support living composers by commissioning new works;we sponsor music workshops, mainly for young people.

Community Advice & Homeless Outreach. Provision of food & clothing. Referrals for resettlement and advocacy. Access to Employment, ICT Training and Jobsearch. Recreational and Educational activities for all including Music Lessons, Workshops and Sports with GEMS Football Club [ GEMS FC].

Side by Side provides support to all those with long term conditions, disabilities and/or additional needs through the medium of music at weekly choir rehearsals. Our members are made up of people with illnesses, disabilities and/or additional needs, carers, friends and family and everyone seems to enjoy themselves whilst at each rehearsal.

Annual activities include the mounting of a Senior Citizens Party, a free Fireworks Display, a Youth Orchestra Concert, an outing for Special Needs Children, a fund-raising Classic Car Rally, relief for International disasters and other small donations to deserving causes.

We offer a structured music and movement session for toddlers and their parent/carers, a short snack time, followed by free play.

Providing a playing platform and professional development opportunities for emerging professional players. Projects aimed at engaging with new audiences and taking orchestral music and outreach into disadvantaged areas.

Grants are given, upon request to both individuals and organisations within the parishes of Kingsley and Newton to help with education in the broadest meaning of the word e.g. play equipment, swimming tuition, residential course fees, music lessons/ instruments.
