Advancement of public education in the musical arts in Mid Wales

CYA supports young people aged 5 - 18, by enabling them to take part in a range of extra curricular or out-of-school activities which are beyond their families' current means. These range from specialist sports training or music lessons to school trips and local holiday club schemes.

Vintage Music organised a weekend festival in Beaulieu, Hampshire (October 2014) which showcased a rarely-heard 1825 Broadwood piano using music by Clara and Robert Schumann as well as a concert of Vivaldi in the local church; an educational visit to the local primary school and family concert also delighted local children. Plans are underway for future events.

Cantata Dramatica is a not-for-profit organisation whose objective is to commission and promote new music.

PEMBROKE HOUSE IS A COMMUNITY CENTRE BASED IN WALWORTH, SOUTH LONDON. IT RUNS A RANGE OF PROJECTS, INCLUDING A LUNCH CLUB FOR OLDER PEOPLE; A MUSIC ACADEMY FOR CHILDREN AND A GARDENING FOR WELLBEING GROUP. IT ALSO PARTNERS WITH OVER 25 OTHER ORGANISATIONS WHO RUN COMMUNITY PROJECTS ON THE PREMISES, AND IS HOME TO THE VIBRANT PARISH CHURCH OF ST CHRISTOPHER'S.

In 2020 trustees made the decision to move from a London hub to participate in other parts of the country; opening their remit to further aid ex-forces and the wider community as follows: - General welfare support and help. - The arts, music and theatre - Learn for the Future Project -Training and development - Sustainable growing for the future - Help with housing - Social Enterprise formation

We support the aims and objects of the W.I. by advancing the education of women for the public benefit in all areas including national and international issues, music, drama and other cultural subjects. The WI seems to give women the opportunity of working together through the organisation in their communities and of developing their capacity and skills and of putting into practice those ideals.

Supporting young people and others through charitable acts

The Thames Chamber Orchestra Ltd promotes and performs classical music in the London and throughout the UK. The orchestra is keen to support other charities wherever possible and our concerts have been successful in raising funds for several organisations.

We organise and fund an Arts Festival held every May in and around High Wycombe. We include drama, music and exhibitions of art and photography.

To advance the charitable activities of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra by providing or assisting in the provision of resources by which the orchestra may undertake activities of a musical education not financed by national or local authorities and to further other charitable purposes directed at improving the public taste and appreciation of the art of music.

THE PROMOTION OF MUSIC EDUCATION THROUGH THE USE OF THE NEW CURWEN METHOD OF AURAL TRAINING

To advance the education of the public in & preserve for its benefit keyboard instruments of historic & artistic interest. To advance the public appreciation & knowledge of music & the related arts & in particular music played on early keyboard instruments.

BCS (Basingstoke Choral Society) was formed in 1947 drawing its members from in and around the North Hampshire area. Our aim is to bring local audiences the highest quality musical events, performing with some of the country's leading professionals.

Providing the opportunity for young people to come and hear Big Band Music and learn to play jazz in participation with other musicians, through weekly rehearsals in Central London and workshops in schools throughout the U.K.WEF 1.4.19, such activities have passed to sister charity, The National Youth Jazz Orchestra Limited (274578) and activity within this charity has ceased.

The festival offers a platform for amateur musicians and singers of all ages to perform in front of an expert adjudicator and to receive verbal and written feedback. An experienced accompanist is also available. It is competitive, but the emphasis is on education and encouragement. All sessions are open to the public and the festival culminates with a public concert of selected prizewinners.

Advancement of the musical education of students of the St Albans Music School by the donation of equipment and provision of facilities additional to those normally provided by Herts County Council.

Burgh House is a cultural and community centre whose main activities are concerts; exhibitions by local artists and lectures; meetings of local groups, and the Hampstead Museum. It is open to the general public free of charge.The principal purposes of the Trust are to preserve Burgh House and its contents, and to protect and improve its amenities for the public benefit.
