The Essex Chamber Orchestra, popularly known as ECHO, comes together three times a yearfor intensive weekend rehearsals followed by a concert, usually at venues in Essex. Althoughoriginally conceived as a chamber orchestra, ECHO varies its forces to perform a wide varietyof programmes ranging from Baroque and Classical works to the repertoire of the 20thCentury.

We are an amateur orchestra with around 40 members. We perform around 4 concerts per year in the Solihull area, including outreach projects and an annual concert where talented young performers get a chance to perform a concerto with an orchestra.

Sutton Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is an amateur orchestra which aims to provide the opportunity for players of a reasonable standard to experience rehearsing and performing works from the orchestral repertoire. SSO believes making music should be fun but challenging. The Orchestra performs three major public concerts per year within the London Borough of Sutton.

The Halifax Orchestral Society markets itself as the Halifax Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra gives three concerts per year in the Halifax, Calderdale region

The orchestra held three public concerts during the year and engaged in rehearsals for these. In addition it continued its outreach links with students at the Elmgreen School, Tulse Hill.

An adult mixed choir about 60 strong,mainly classical repertoire,1or 2 main concerts with orchestra p.a.+ some for charity. Non-auditioning, and aims to educate & develop musical skills

The society seeks to promote the enjoyment and awareness of choral music by presenting public concerts.

To advance and promote public education in and the appreciation of music by the presentation of public concerts and recitals in conjunction with the Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra and smaller groups of the playing members of the orchestra.

Our objectives are:1. to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art/science of music in all its aspects including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals; and2. to further such charitable purpose or purposes as the Trustees in their absolute discretion shall think fit but in particular through the making of grants and donations.

Orchestral Playing

Provides young musicians with the opportunity to play an instrument within a symphony orchestra. The charity provides the young musicians with dedicated tutoring and the opportunity to play two prestigious concerts in a year. Concerts are open to all the community and are advertised locally.

The society provides accommodation and resources to enable members to receive professional tuition in the art of choral singing and study an expanding repertoire of choral music. Following such studies the society promotes and subsidises concerts employing professional soloists and orchestral players enabling local audiences to attend quality performances at affordable ticket prices. Kingston Philharmonia is an amateur orchestra which normally performs three concerts a year, including a wide variety of music. It brings classical music into the heart of the community; gives local musicians the opportunity to rehearse and perform a broad classical repertoire; and provides an accessible and affordable alternative to the big London concert venues for local people.

To assist in the Musical Education of students at schools and colleges in Hampshire by providing financial support to the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra, and the String Orchestra.The Friends contribute to the cost of residential training courses and ensure opportunities are open to all.
