Money held in trust to benefit village and villagers in Appleford, Oxfordshire. Grant applications from village organisations considered on request (from income), grants for larger amounts require village vote. Book grant scheme run through village magazine.

The Society organises events and activities to promote a good image of Thetford, to act as a pressure group when necessary on a non-politcal basis, to draw together those with a concern for the quality of services in Thetford and to encourage initiatives to benefit local residents. The Society holds monthly meetimgs of local interest and produces a quarterly newsletter and an annual magazine

We produce an audio version of our local weekly newspaper, The Wallingford Herald, and other community magazines. Volunteers meet each week to read articles onto digital media which are distributed the next day to up to 40 people with visual or reading difficulties. Each registered listener is provided by the charity with an audio player to listen the recorded news.

Supporting members, helping diagnose allergies, by counselling, suggesting allergists, supplying Reaction our magazine. Working closely with a number of Consultant Allergists in the UK. We are also looking at the possibility of supporting some research into treatment for multiple allergy in the not too distant future.
