Arts Charities That specialise in Visual arts

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOLFUNDS THIS YEAR WERE RAISED BY A NUMBER OF EVENTS INCLUDING SUMMER FAYRES, CAKE SALES, SPRING CRAFTS, FOOTBALL TOURNAMNET AND QUIZ NIGHT. MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT ON IT EQUIPMENT, SPORTS EQUIPMENT, LEAVERS BOOK, RESIDENTIAL TRIPS AND PANTOMIME TRIPS AS WELL AS A FEW SMALLER PROJECTS FOR THE SCHOOL AND LOCAL COMMUNITY.

KEWI is part of the national WI organisation. There is a monthly meeting for members to meet for lectures/crafts as well smaller groups covering a range of educational/sporting or handicraft interests. KEWI also undertakes fundraising activities for a chosen local charity.

Fundraising and social events to serve the community of Halstock and the surrounding villages. This includes the provision Sport including badminton and short mat bowls, Artsreach presentations and meetings and events of several organisations and charities. Art classes, coffee mornings with crafts. Parties Flower Show.

The aim of the charity is the provision of a village hall facility for those who wish to hold parties and others who wish to run classes for dancing, painting, and other similar purposes.

PROMOTING LEARNING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OF WOMEN THROUGH EG LECTURES COVERING DISCIPLINES SUCH AS THE ARTS, CULTURE, HEALTH AND SOCIAL WELFARE, PARTICIPATION IN GROUPS WITH ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ARTS AND CRAFTS, WALKING. ENCOURAGING MEMBERS TO TAKE AN INTEREST IN ISSUES OF NATIONAL AND LOCAL IMPORTANCE PARTICULARLY RELEVANT TO THE LIVES AND WELFARE OF WOMEN. FUNDRAISING FOR LOCAL CHARITIES.

Weekly meetings involving:Games,Crafts,Compass&Map reading,Rope Knots,Camping Essentials,Hikes Etc. also Community awareness- Friendship & Self well-being .

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN AGRICULTURE, HOME CRAFTS, COUNTRY LIFE AND RELATED SUBJECTS AND IN THE INTERESTS OF THE SOCIAL WELFARE OF SUCH MEMBERS TO PROVIDE AND PROMOTE THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATIONS WHICH WILL WILL ASSIST IN THEIR DEVELOPMENT.

The institute's primary activity is the encouragement and development of oil painting. Exhibitions of work by members and selected non-members are held annually at the Mall Galleries, London. Significant prizes are on offer. Opportunities for inter-action with members are featured.

Prescot & District U3A is open to all residents of the Knowsley area. Its prime purpose is to offer an active life style to retired people over the age of 55 yrs. The activities that we offer includes bowling,keep fit classes,painting tuition,crafts,yoga,theatre club. These activities help to give our members a quality of life that can only be achieved in the company of like minded people

Our activities advance the education of the public in the visual arts and architecture, culture and heritage through a programme of lectures, study sessions and visits to places of historic, architectural and cultural interest, museums and galleries. They also advance arts, culture and heritage by making grants to projects that promote arts, culture and heritage for the benefit of the public.

The study, recording and preservation of information and other material relating to tiles and architectural ceramics by way of education and guidance. We publish an annual academic journal and a less formal magazine. We arrange meetings, visits, lectures and similar activities both for members and the public. We encourage and provide information for conservation and artistic endeavour.

The objects of the Charity are to preserve and promote the heritage and historical importance of the Jubilee Oak and Fenland Black Oak more generally by crafting a Jubilee Oak table and ensuring that the resulting work of craftmanship is displayed to the public.

Erwood YFC is open to all young people aged 10 to 28 years of age. It offers a balanced programme which includes, education & training, community projects, sport, drama, public speaking, cookery, rural crafts and much more.

We provide Day-Care facilities for the elderly and weekly activities where they attend the venue to engage in crafts, physical exercise, health awareness programmes and awareness of their personal entitlements in the community.We also provide educational programmes including religious awareness for the young people.We also provide music education to selected individuals. The hall committee organises the everyday running of the hall, fundraising events for its upkeep, and annual community events .The hall, serves the community as the only meeting place in the village, and is used by groups of all ages. Hall user groups: table tennis,indoor bowls,boccia,photography,yoga/pilates,tai chi,art,WI,brownies/rainbows,soup lunch,fundraising events, private hire, polling.
