Brighton Exiled/Refugee Trauma Service (BERTS) provides mental health treatment and support to refugees, asylum seekers and destitute migrants in the city of Brighton & Hove

Our aim is to provide a meal to homeless and other people in need in a safe, welcoming environment.Our guests are Sheffield's homeless, rootless, marginalised and anyone in need. Our user group not only includes local homeless and other people in need but also refugees, asylum seekers and new arrivals in the city.

Southampton Action runs regular public appeals to collect items, particularly but not exclusively clothing, shoes, household items, toiletries and camping equipment. Volunteers sort the donated items, which are then packed and delivered to order to refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton and also delivers items to refugee organisations working outside of the UK.

We offer a wide variety of weekly events aimed at asylum seekers and refugees (ASRs) in our area. Through these events, mostly in the form of "drop-ins" we are able to provide a welcome, and a point of contact for help, advice and support with volunteers from many local voluntary, community and faith organisations. The Pachamama Project is growing a network of volunteers around the world to make reusable sanitary pads for refugees and vulnerable people who experience period poverty.Our volunteers sew from home or their self-organised community groups and send their pads to their local ambassadors for quality checking. These pads are then distributed via our community-led partner organisations.

We support asylum seekers and refugees who have to report to the Home Office Reporting Centre in Loughborough. We offer words of welcome and support. We also give out vouchers which can be used at a local community cafe and in the winter we give out hats, gloves and scarves. During the school holidays we provide small gifts for children who accompany their parents.

Plateful Cafe empowers refugees to obtain mainstream employment in the catering industry by providing hospitality training and employment in a cafe.The cafe also runs a shop selling products made by local refugees and delivers monthly community dinners.Plateful Cafe also caters for outside events and offers private dining in people homes.Asylum-seekers volunteer at the cafe.

Holidays & outings for families under stress. Provide clothing for prem babies in Derbyshire hospitals & toiletries for emergency admissions. Provide Helpful Books for children in Primary Schools. Support for women's refuges & help with project for young girls caught up in prostitution. We help run parenting groups and Mother & Toddler groups. Provide Moses Baskets for Derby Refugee Centre.

The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit among people who are refugees and asylum seekers who are socially excluded on the grounds of their social and economic position, by providing:(1) education and training in the English language and in vocational skills;(2) social and recreational facilities and events involving the local community.

The charity have earmarked a plot of land measuring 1,100sq metres in New Delhi and as accommodated 220 Rohingya refugees there. This is known as Darul Hijrat. Another similar project has been established in Bahraich. The charity will be building the Sir Syed Coaching & Guidance Centre for 'Civil Services' building complex in Delhi to accommodate and coach 500 fellows.

The Evelyn Oldfield Unit is an independent, non-partisan, membership based, charitable organisation, with the aim to provide, develop and coordinate specialist aid and support services for established refugee organisations in order to increase their capacity and potential for meeting the needs of their communities.
