Refugees START was established in response to the refugee crisis in 2015, to support refugees & asylum seekers in both the UK and Europe. We have since incorporated Yorkshire Aid, a pre-existing group of local volunteers in Leeds. Current activities focus on collecting & sorting, or buying, items needed by refugees locally in Yorkshire, and transporting suitable donations to Calais.

To promote social inclusion and integration of African communities, particularly Rwandan Refugee Communities and a networking group that encourages and enables them to participate more effectively with the wider community, particularly in the areas of education, training and employment.

Relief to asylum seekers and those granted refugee status in the UK, living in Kettering and the North Northants by support services to advance them in life and assist them with the adaption within a new community, with the aim of:(1) Preserving and protecting physical and mental health(2) Advancing education and training; and(3) Relief from financial hardship and unemployment

The Charities activities are to benefit the health and wellbeing of the inhabitants of Blackburn with Darwen within the county of Lancashire. Its primary project currently is to support work with asylum seekers resident in the Borough.

THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST THOSE SEEKING ASYLUM AND THOSE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS AND THEIR DEPENDENTS LIVING (TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY) IN CANTERBURY DISTRICT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WITHIN KENT BY PROVIDING HOUSING, ADVICE AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT (INCLUDING GRANTS OR LOANS) TO MEET IDENTIFIED NEEDS.

The relief of financial hardship amongst refugees in any part of the world, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of food, clothing and shelter and the advancement of education of refugees in the UK so as to assist them to adapt within a new community.

We assist refugees and asylum seekers in Richmond upon Thames to settle successfully by: befriending, advising on accommodation, helping with communications, collecting and disseminating information, supporting material and emotional needs and signposting to other support agencies. We hold meetings and events to raise awareness, share information, raise funds, or for celebration.

We run a free book reading club, befriending, socials with recreational activities and guest speakers. Relieve of poverty through charity shop and food bank. We also provide educational support for all age groups including black and ethnic minorities and asylum seekers.

The Charity has a primary focus on supporting refugees, asylum-seekers and immigrants in the United Kingdom who are from North Korea and South Korea, in each case who have need of such facilities due to their age, financial hardship and/or social circumstances.
