The focus of our activities is to raise funds to provide employment and skills training and educational opportunities to young women at risk of, or who have experienced, human trafficking. The group provides language (ESOL) sessions for the adults to enable them to become part of the community and find employment. It sources a property to rent and helps them set up a bank account so they can receive the benefits they are entitled to. Assistance is offered to settle children in school.

Budleigh-Syrian Community Sponsorship works in Budleigh Salterton and surrounding areas to support the resettlement of refugees as part of the government community sponsorship scheme. We provide advice and assistance required to help families to adapt, settle and live independently within their new community. We advance the education of the public in general about the issues relating to refugees.

We raise awareness campaigns of human trafficking and other forms of Morden Day Slavery. We educate on how to spot the signs of human trafficking, get help on how to report it and refer to relevant local agencies/services. We do leaflet, flyers, posters, video clips and questionnaires to engage the audience. We do training workshops, community events, go to schools and youth centres.

OMPowerment Project empowers refugees to lead themselves and members of their communities in the healing practice of trauma informed yoga. Refugees worldwide have long benefited from yoga but access to the practice has been dependent on volunteer availability. By empowering refugees to teach and lead themselves, this healing practice can continue regardless of volunteer skills and availability.

Just Care provides relief and assistance to the poor, elderly, animals, homeless , refugees and those in need, by delivering the necessary food, clothing, financial grants, healthcare and essentials needed by these vulnerable groups. Just Care also works to help the ill and those suffering from a terminal prognosis by providing financial assistance and items of need.
