The Potting Shed Church is a rural church community in the middle of Nottinghamshire. It seeks to nurture followers of Jesus, especially amongst families, children and youth. We hope to connect with those not presently engaging with existing models of rural church and to resource established rural churches. We meet on Sundays and midweek in a Barn and use Zoom and social media to build community.

We work with diverse ethnic communities including Asylum Seekers, Refugees and their families. Services include Youth & Community work, advocacy, hate crime support, education & training. We support individuals with a range of issues. These issues are complex due to immigration status, racism & discrimination. We deliver youth provision, community outreach, group sessions, activities and events.

Our aim: to help people who do not know Jesus to become his faithful followers. Activities for senior citizens, children, young people, families & other groups. Support to UK & overseas charities. Provision of sacred space, public worship, rooms & facilities for community use. Pastoral & Teaching activities. School ministries. Events, meetings, literature, website and other media.

Rehoming dogs who have been abandoned or abused from both the UK and abroad and rehoming them with new families/people on a permanent basis. We look after them at our kennel facility and then actively seek new owners for their forever homes. We act purely for non profit and all fund raising etc is used to run the kennels and pay for the transport of the dogs, vet bills, food, and general welfare.

The heart of our mission lies in addressing food insecurity in our community. We understand that there are individuals and families who struggle to access nutritious meals on a regular basis. Sensory Soft Play is a CIO aiming to relieve the needs of children and their families (primarily but not exclusively) with additional needs in Hastings and the surrounding area through the provision of multi-sensory soft play activities and the running of an online support group for parents and carers of children. We provide holiday clubs, respite clubs and days out for families with SEN.

The activities of The United Church of St Mark are wide ranging, include providing a place for Christian worship and prayer. Providing activities for children and families of the local community including Messy Church, Messy Munchkins, Fun and Faith, Children's Church. Also Monthly Market, Community Cinema, Community Lunch, and Monday group for older members.
