The Torch Trust for the Blind aims to overcome sight loss as a barrier to finding a personal faith in Christ and living a fulfilled Christian life. It provides Christian literature, fellowship and personal support to visually impaired people in the UK and around the world. This Charity is the original charity set up by Torch, all current activities are undertaken through charity number 1095904

To promote the relief of Deaf people and their families, and to create opportunities for Deaf individuals to come together as a society, fostering community and reducing isolation. To raise awareness and understanding among the general public about the challenges faced by the Deaf community.

Disbursements to groups or individuals in need of financial assistance in our local area. This could be assisting a child to take part in school extra curricular activities or helping a family in need. Donations also made to local clubs for the elderly and infirm.

TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND PASTORAL SUPPORT TO THOSE IN NEED OR VULNERABLE THROUGH ILLNESS OR DISABILITY. WE SUPPORT PHARMACISTS, RETIRED AND FORMER PHARMACISTS, UNDERGRADUATE PHARMACY STUDENTS, PRE-REGISTRATION PHARMACISTS, WIDOWS OR WIDOWERS OF PHARMACISTS AND ANY MEMBER OF A PHARMACISTS FAMILY WHO IS DEPENDENT ON A PHARMACIST FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

The Fund made grants totalling £750 during the year to the benefit of the families and dependants of deceased members of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

SLAEC seeks to advance the knowledge of the history of the London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark by archaeological investigation. It provides grants in support of this aim for archaeological fieldwork, research, publication and exhibitions and for opportunities for the public, including families and children, to take part in archaeological activities.

TO ASSIST MASONS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN TIMES HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS

We help local groups (ie netball/football teams) by giving donations. Help our local community by holding Christmas parties for elderly persons alone at Christmas and 100 under privileged children. Take under privileged families for days out to the seaside (something they could not afford to do) as we still have no centre to work from at the moment.

THE CLUB PROVIDES A RANGE OF SERVICES, WHICH TARGETS THE MOST VULNERABLE, DISADVANTAGED AND DISAFFECTED. WE AIM TO HELP THESE YOUNG PEOPLE TO GROW, DEVELOP AND THRIVE BY OFFERING THEM APPROPRIATE SUPPORT, OPPORTUNITIES AND CHOICES. OUR WORK ALSO ENCOMPASSES CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL SHOOLS, FAMILY GROUPS, COMMUNITY GROUPS.

To give grants to help young people in need

We raise funds for additional equipment for the use of the children attending the schools and for activities such as visiting theatre groups.We also run events such as fairs and discos for the children and their families.

To fundraise and provide support for the pupils and their families at Riverside School, a school for pupils with a wide range of severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of our pupils also have autistic spectrum disorder and some have complex medical needs.
