Guiding offers a chance to explore, to try out a wide variety of and activities and learn a range of skills; anything from outdoor pursuits, like walking, camping, abseiling and canoeing,to working with computers, time management and team building. With worldwide links, there is the opportunity to meet and work with people from other countries, either by travelling abroad or welcoming visitors.

Warminster Street Pastors is an interdenominational Church initiative that seeks to respond positively to theissues facing the night time economy in our town. To advance musical education and the Christian religion for the public benefit by promoting opportunities for girl choristers aged between 7 and 14 to sing within the Anglican liturgy in acts of public worship and in secular public performances in Oxford college chapels and elsewhere, in particular by supporting a girls' choir in Oxford called 'Frideswide Voices'.

Kids' Voice identified three projects to support. The three projects were raising funds to send seven disabled children on the bronze expedition of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Fund a Prosthetic Arm for a 4 year old girl named Poppy Padfield and Fund an Info Commercial educating people about children with HIV produced by children with HIV. All of these projects are based in Greater London Area.

Girlguiding UK provides a safe single sex environment for girls to grow and develop through games, teamwork, residential opportunities and fun and friendship

The primary function of the charity is to make grants to individuals to support activities outside the normal curriculum such as study visits. The second function is to support the provision of community transport in this deeply rural area.

TO SUPPORT 3 DISTRICTS IN GUIDING ACTIVITIES

Ipswich Basketball Foundation has a vision to create an abundance of opportunities for children and young people, both boys and girls, to engage and participate in basketball in their local area. Such opportunities are often limited by lack of facilities, economic hardship or lack of knowledge about the enjoyment basketball can bring to young people.

Beckenham Division of Girlguiding UK runs a programme suitable to the girls aged 5-18 years. This includes senior section members 14-25 yrs and Trefoil Guild members age range 18-80+. All leaders run the programmes as volunteers weekly and give opportunity for residential experience etc.

To provide two annual prizes of equal value for the best boy and the best girl pupil who attain the highest results in History at the advanced level of the Welsh joint education committee's annual examinations.
