To provide an outdoor grass area for outdoor activities, a young childrens play area and a purpose built building for all indoor activities for parishioners and the general public visiting Hickling.

Rockingham playgroup is a pre-school that serve the local community in Elephant and castle area. We provide care and safeguard children who attend our setting, try and secure the foundation of their learning.

Cylch Meithrin Nelson provide pre-school early years education through the medium of Welsh to children aged 2 - 4 years. Funding is through fees paid by the parents, which helps to cover the wages of the staff. The Meithrin also benefits from grants provided by the local authority and also fundraising through various means.

PRE - SCHOOL LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT FROM YRS 2 TO 5

We are a rural setting providing full day care for children ages 2-11 in a safe, fun and stimulating environment. We are in a purpose built building within the school grounds and we provide wrap around care for the school. At our last ofsted which was 2007 we received an outstanding for the quality and standards of the nursery education.

Education and care for children aged 6 months - 5 years

We are a family church, committed to serving God, one another and our community. Our mission is to see lives transformed by God's grace and power. On Sundays we come together to worship, hear the preaching of God's word and enjoy fellowship. There is a Sunday school and creche for the children. We have a mid-week prayer meeting, parent and toddler group, kidz club and youth club.

We operate and maintain a community centre together with the local authority for the benefit of the population living in the Marlpit area of Norwich. We provide facilities for user groups such as pre-school clubs, international groups, youth clubs, and a number of other recreational clubs. We also provide free internet access and PC facilities for persons living in the area.

Early Years care and education for children from two to under five years of age, with qualified and dedicated staff.

St Mary's Playgroup provides a preschool environment for children aged 2yr to 5yr olds. It follows Ofsted guidelines and is inspected by Ofsted and supported by PATA.

La Marelle provides activities to promote knowledge of the French language and culture of the French-speaking world. These include a Saturday morning school for French-speaking children, French lessons for non-native speakers, holiday lessons, a toddler group and a library.
