ST. JOHN'S VILLAGE HALL, KINGSDOWN SERVES THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR LEISURE, LOCAL CHURCH GROUPS, EDUCATIONAL GROUPS SUCH AS THE LOCAL PRE-SCHOOL AND PRIVATE FUNCTIONS. IN ADDITION THE HALL IS OFTEN USED TO HOST FUNDRAISING EVENTS IN SUPPORT OF LOCAL CHARITIES.

Women with dependent children in receipt of state benefits are the main beneficiaries. Needs such as nursery funding, NVQ & holidays are met. Refurbishment of bedrooms & kitchens. Plymouth Guild, Ridley Centre has received grants.

THE RYAN STANFORD APPEAL FUNDS RESEARCH INTO ALPERS SYNDROME, A RARE TERMINAL ILLNESS AFFECTING YOUNG CHILDREN. THE RESEARCH IS UNDERTAKEN AT THE WELLCOME CENTRE, NEWCASTLE.MUCH WORK HAS BEEN GIVEN TO RAISING AWARENESS TO ALPERS SYNDROME, THE RYAN STANFORD APPEAL AND ALSO COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER AFFECTED FAMILIES.

We run a weekly Baby & Toddler Group in Aldreth open to any carers with 0-3 yr olds. The group offers a structured program, including physical, sensory or craft activity, Small World play, storytelling and music. The adults can relax while their children are busy, participate in play and craft that they may not do at home, share experiences with other carers, form new friendships and find support

Silverdale Community Centre provides a place where all ages of the community come together to take part in a number of activities. Senior Citizens, Pre-school, Bowling, Ladies Section, Brownies, Cubs, Scouts, Karate and Dancing School are a few activities on offer.The Community Association work together to managed the building and provide the best possible facilities for the the users.

Run three projects:-Smarties Carer and Toddler group is open to local families, parents/carers, held once a week during school terms, and it also provides support for local lone parent families.The IT 4 All Project runs a weekly drop-in centre for people with computer issues, this is is open to all ages.Primary School Support - providing support for disadvantaged children/families

The advancement of care and education of local 0-5 year olds by supporting. The work of Children's Centres (CCs) and early years education/care generally. Local parents to engage more with their child's care and education. Providing or assisting in the provision of additional equipment and resources for CCs over and above what may be required to be provided by the statutory authorities

Norwood School PTA supports Norwood Primary and Preschool in Eastleigh, Hampshire. We organise events, fundraisers, and volunteer activities to provide resources and enrichment programmes, enhancing students' educational and social experiences. Our efforts benefit students, teachers, and the school community.

Raising funds for Loddiswell Primary School and Pre-School to help enhance the education and play of all the children in these settings.

Bamford Community Centre is currently used by a Pre-School Playgroup, and the local ladies group.It is also available for casual letting for parties, dance classes, local meetings and other functions as and when required.
