Grant making and donations

Our charity supplements and supports the main activities of our parent rotary club and in particular our community service committee. We seek to make donations both to worthy local charities and to worldwide rotary international projects. In addition we also provide funds to assist in international disaster relief either directly or through the overall rotary family as a matter of priority.

We provide grants to our partner organisation Wamumbi Orphan Care in Central Kenya to provide outreach services to orphaned children affected by HIV/AIDS and their guardians. Current activities include workshops on sexual health, beadwork, theatre and music therapy, and supporting teenagers through secondary school and apprenticeships in tailoring, carpentry, mechanics, and hairdressing.

The Trust awards small grants to alleviate hardship to individuals or families who live within the Borough of Greater Ryde, Isle of Wight and are on low incomes and have health needs .

THE RELIEF OF PEOPLE IN NEED BY REASON OF ILL HEALTH, IN PARTICULAR PEOPLE LIVING WITH PARKINSON'S DISEASE, BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT TO IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE.

A. To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all it's aspects by means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.B. To further such other charitable purpose purposes as the choir in its absolute discretion shall think fit, but in particular through making grants and donations.

The Trustees follow a proactive system of making grants/donations. Accordingly applications from other charities/the public are not encouraged and will not be acknowledged.
