Lilford District Scout Council operates within the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association. Sussex Search and Rescue is the primary volunteer resource used by Sussex Police in the search and rescue of vulnerable missing people. We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and are fully approved by Sussex Police policy. SusSAR is staffed purely by volunteers, who as well as covering the whole of Sussex, can also be called out to assist other Search and Rescue groups throughout the UK.

The Bridge provides counselling for people with a wide range of emotional, relational and personal difficulties. It aims to give the widest possible access to the service through a 'pay-what-you-can' policy. Our policy is to give grants to students entering further education for up to four years and one off grants for tools and other equipment to those starting apprenticeships or work training on the job. Our aims are to help refugees and asylum seekers who come to live in the Harrogate and Knaresborough district by offering friendship, practical support and educational experiences.
