The society publishes a quarterly journal, holds meetings and talks open to all, operates a website, maintains a research room which offers assistance to members and non-members, and organises and supports Fairs and outreach events.

Bristol Area Cardiac Support formally Frenchay Hospital Cardiac Support Group was set up to give support to Members who had suffered Cardiac Trauma and had been cared for in Ward 103 in Frenchay Hospital, near Bristol. with the closing of Frenchay Hospital We now raise funds to purchase mediacl equipment when requested by Cardiac Medical Units in the Bristol area.

We aim to channel the collective weight of the local off road biking community to promote their interests across the Bristol and surrounding areas. Protect existing and pursue the opening of new rights of way for off road cyclists

Organise events to raise funds for St Ursulas E-Act Academy. We aim to enhance the learning of the children through our purchases and fund raising as well as create a sense of community within the school.

ONE PERCENT SCHEME IS A CHARITY WHICH POOLS MEMBERS DONATIONS AND SHARES THIS MONEY BETWEEN 4 SMALL CHARITIES. THESE ARE CHOSEN BY IT'S MEMBERS IN AN ANNUAL ELECTION. OPS WORKS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE CHARITIES IT SUPPORTS AND THE ISSUES THEY FACE. WE BELIEVE THAT MONEY CAN BE GIVEN MORE EFFECTIVELY AND SUSTAINABLY WHEN THERE IS A STONG LINK BETWEEN DONORS AND BENEFICIARIES.

Provision of a series of concerts and recitals of classical and modern musical works (usually max. 6) in each season, October - June, at local Church premises in the Henleaze district of Bristol, including giving particular prominence to gifted local young musicians, and presenting pre-concert talks by eminent musicians and academics on the contents of each concert's programme.

The Centre provides a seven day a week free, confidential, impartial and factually correct support service for women and their partners facing unintended pregnancy, baby loss and post abortion; whatever their age, beliefs, background or circumstances.

Wansdyke Primary is based in Bristol City and is a small school with a small PTA to provide funds for play equipment, books and improvements (ie IPOD etc )to each class as well as the school as a whole.

The aim of our Centre in Bristol is to provide creative and stimulating activities, care and support to adults (Members) with various additional needs including physical, sensory or learning disability. We offer opportunities to learn new skills to gain greater knowledge and independence. Some seek to learn more about the Christian faith. Our hope is that all have more fulfilling lives.

Financial grants to charities that meet the Trust's criteria and are active in the south west of England

The promotion of improved driving standards coupled with an increased awareness of road safety. The Group conducts courses for drivers wishing to improve their driving in preparation of the Advanced Tests by the IAM RoadSmart. These courses consist of classroom sessions, together with practical on-road driving guidance given by the Group's voluntary Observers.

It is the trustees' policy to give priority to appeals from charitable organisations based within a radius of 25 miles of the centre of Bristol in the following spheres:- Assistance to the disabled, with the priority being disabled children;- Assistance to those suffering from illness or disease; and- Medical research and welfare in the above areas.

The Friends supports the work of Elsie Briggs House, an ecumenial house of prayer, and provides accommodation for the resident Warden.

Raising funds to enrich the lives of pupils at Victoria Park School.

Panache Steel Band is based in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. Panache started in 1994 at The Castle School, Thornbury, and has since become community based. As well as the main performing band, who performs both publically and privately, we run a variety of community-based steel band groups for different ages, as well as one-off workshops at local schools and other organisations.

The Charity is a Scout Group that provides education, training and recreation for Boys and Girls from all backgrounds and areas.
