Grants may be made to individual charitable beneficiaries, UK registered charities & other organisations (in the UK & abroad) that carry out activities that are charitable under English law.

The team at PICHEAM aims to set up a system whereby UK-based paediatricians and paediatric nurses make short but frequent missions to a chosen country to work alongside local paediatricians and other healthcare staff. The Chris Shoesmith Global Foundation helps both backpackers and their families, we do this by giving honest help and advice as to any dangers that can be encountered whilst travelling. We also assist backpackers and their families should something go wrong such as; muggings, loss of any possessions, missing persons abroad and also bereavements.
