Ashbeach Ladybirds Pre-school is a small friendly pre-school run by a voluntary management committee. The Pre-school is situated in a purpose-built building in the grounds of Ashbeach School, Ramsey St. Marys, Cambs. We hope to enhance the development and education of children through play and social interaction in a safe, stimulating, and happy environment.

Assistance to local church

The Cambridge Girls Chess Initiative (CGCI) encourages young girls to play more chess. CGCI offers nine training sessions per year (three sessions per school term), on Sunday afternoons, at three levels, beginners, intermediate and advanced. CGCI also participates at the Cambridge Chess Championship with a girls-only team.

Education of children

We provide a building that can be used for accommodation by groups of young people led by suitably qualified adults to undertake, education/training in field studies and outdoor activities.

ABC Dog coordinates the provision and use of therapy dogs as 'reading dogs' into primary schools within East Anglia.

Raising funds in the areas of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, to relieve the suffering of children affected by the radiation explosion from the Nuclear Plant at Chernobyl. To provide family placements for children/orphans from the Mogilev region of Belarus for at least one month each year for respite care and to meet the full costs of these visits, to include optical, dental and health checks.
