Dorchester Civic Society exists to stimulate people's interest in the town and its setting; promote high standards of architecture, urban design and planning; safeguard buildings and areas of historic interest; and promote civic pride. The Society is a member of Civic Voice.

We raise funds to support improvements in the health of young people suffering mental health challenges. Our beneficiaries access sport and outdoor activities through grants we make following careful review of their needs as well as the capabilities and experience of service providers. Beneficiaries include young people in the care of NHS registered facilities or identified in education settings,

The charity operates a workshop which offers creative activities for those affected by cancer in Dorset as an opportunity for release and meeting other people.

Administering the Village Hall for the use and comfort of the village.

The objects of the club is to provide relief for the disabled within Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, with particular reference to therapeutic benefit derived from swimming and related exercise. The DSC provides swimming/exercise sessions every Saturday throughout the year, except for the weeks covering the Christmas and New Year period. We have the exclusive use of the pool.

Grants to voluntary sector youth leaders for instructor training.

To relieve patients & former patients of our hospitals & other invalids in the community who are sick, convalescent & disabled, handicapped, infirm or in need of financial assistance & generally, to support the charitable work of the said hospitals.

Supporting the the Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Swanage in its objectives of promoting in the parish the whole mission of the Church through financial contributions towards assistant clergy expenses and maintenance costs of St Mark's Church

The charity will work to conserve, protect and improve the physical and natural environment by promoting biodiversity in the local area. We will also seek to advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.

POVERTY RELIEF IN PIMPERNE VILLAGE

Introducing and examining drivers in high levels of driving skills which will increase road safety.

The charity (Dorset Guitar Society) promotes, improves, and maintains public education in, and appreciation of the art and science of the guitar, its music and practical techniques, by the presentation of public concerts, recitals and education workshops.

Our PTA is a voluntary committee of parents, staff and governors, who work together to raise extra funds for the benefit of the children, whilst at the same time, bringing together the whole school community to have fun and socialize with each other.

Fund raising for school playground equipment, specialist indoor equipment (including music & sensory therapy equipment) and special treats for the pupils (including a Christmas present).

To foster and encourage Amateur Boxing in the Bristol and West Country via Western Counties ABA we organise 3 or 4 Amateur Boxing Tournaments with dinner per year. Funds are raised through ticket sales, raffles and auctions during each event.
