SCWB is a thriving organisation, playing an active part in the amateur musical community with a membership of around 50 players.

To provide hospital transport for the elderly and infirm.To provide a healthy, reasonably priced, lunch every Monday in the local Church Hall and an opportunity for social interaction for the elderly of Lee-on-the-Solent.

Support and promote public concerts, musical education, training and activities by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities and equipment to advance musical education. To support especially, but not exclusively the participants and supporters of the Centre for Wessex Young Musicians.

To support our charitable object of advancing the education of older people and people no longer in full time work we currently have over 20 Interest Groups covering a wide range of subjects conducive to learning and personal development. The subjects include Art & Architecture, Book Reviews, Canasta, Creative Writing, Garden, Heritage & Cultures, Jazz, Poetry, Singing, Skittles and Walking.

Elders Group:- includes Health and Fitness, Confidential Advice, Recreational activities/games, Learning and improving IT skills, ESOL, Healthy cooking and eating, Information sessions regarding local services, Outings, Celebrations of key festivals, Working with local schools. Community Meal:- providing free meals at least twice a year. Eastleigh Mela:- organising a free family festival annually.

Raising of funds from members and public. Principal fund raising activity is annual Golf Day.Funds raised are expended in support of charitable activities in the Portsmouth area and for overseas charities including hospitality for the elderly, support fo children's activities, medical charities etc.

To relieve the needs of the elderly residents in the town of Ringwood, Hampshire, England and its immediately adjacent parishes and in particular to promote the protection of health, the relief of poverty, distress and sickness and improve the quality of life among the elderly.

Childrens Chance funds activities for children and young people, who, for financial reasons, would not otherwise have the chance. Examples are music and sports tuition. Grants are paid direct to the service provider (e.g. sports club or music teacher) not the child's family. The charity is run entirely by a single volunteer. Funds are raised from events, donations, individuals and organisations.

Promotion of Choral singing in the area of NE Hants and Surrey/Berks borders

Parent Fundraising Activites

The group offers all the usual activities of a Scout Group for children from age 7 years up to young leaders of 18 years plus.

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.Includes Beavers, Cubs and Scout groups.

Raise money for the school by holding events and activities, such as; Christmas and Summer fairs, childrens discos, a disco for parents, cake sales, and a quiz and pudding night. Some examples of spending include outdoor play equipment, books for the library and KS1, Author visits, IT Equipment, class xmas presents, and forest schools equipment.

Provide Village Hall facilities to residents of Owslebury in Hampshire.

The charity manages the Netley Marsh Community Hall for the benefit of the local population, in respect of special events and weekly club evenings and pre school activity.

(1) to provide facilities to enable disabled people to partake in various forms of winter sports;(2) to train, so that disabled people may acquire the skill so to participate;(3) to provide financial assistance to enable disabled people to participate in all the activities of the Charity or of its Affiliate Members;(4) to do all such things as will further the above objects.

Our PTA works with the school, parents, pupils and the local community to put on a range of activities and events. For example, organising school fayres, Eco Balloon races, discos, an Easter egg hunt and providing refreshments at school events.
