Provision of weekly audio memory sticks containing readings from local newspapers which are mailed to severely sight impaired and sight impaired listeners (members). In addition, DTN organises PC training for its members - to help the blind and visually impaired benefit from the technology.

To educate the public in the arts and science of music through performance of public concerts, and to encourage local amateur musicians through playing and performing classical music.

We raise funds from school and community event initiatives that promote our charities work in Africa. We share educational opportunities and learning resources with our partner School, Sunrise Academy in Kenya.We also help them to improve their physical environments such as buildings and equipment. We plan to start a pupil sponsorship scheme later this year.

We work with our school, parents, pupils & the local community to put on a range of events andactivities, (Cake bake, Mothers Day Secret Room, Summer & Xmas Fairs). These help to build the schoolcommunity, break down barriers and help fundraise. We use our funds to purchase a range of goods andservices that help advance the education of pupils at our school.

The community garden is situated in an area where there are pockets of deprivation and there are a number of flats with no gardens.

Barley Tennis Club (CIO) in North Hertfordshire facilitates and promotes community participation in healthy recreation, by the provision of sustainable facilities for playing the game of tennis. The CIO encourages player development and the enjoyment of tennis by providing affordable membership and access for players of all abilities in a safe and friendly environment.

To raise money for the promotion of public worship at Holy Trinity Church, Stevenage in particular by:- The restoration, repair and upkeep of the fabric and fixtures of the Church including the provision of equipment and maintainance of the Church yard.

The principal charities and/or community services currently supported are Garden House Hospice for North Hertfordshire, Mary's Meals (Uganda), Home Start , and Disaster Relief generally.

Provides help and support for people who have suffered from Stroke.Helps Stroke victims to integrate and feel comfortable in the community

SCCF sets out to support community issues by helping local organisations, charities, families and individuals with some financial support but also mentoring, communicating and sharing among the community. Starting with volunteers across the villages, SCCF explores where help is needed and where it can be provided

This charity makes grants to current (or ex) students of Hertford's Simon Balle School. Its purpose is to help students in financial need to participate in worthwhile extracurricular activities which the LEA does not support. These activities will normally be educational, sporting, artistic or cultural in nature. Where appropriate students are expected to show initiative by their own fund-raising.

To support the most disadvantaged children in the most deprived areas in the county of Hertfordshire by providing grants to purchase such essential items as beds, bedding, clothing or other household equipment and to provide other critical aid to improve the quality of life of the children.

To make contributions to worthy projects with reference to the advancement of Christian education esp in the diocese of st Albans, and advancement of Christian religion and releif of poverty

The aim of the charity is to make Hertfordshire's great written heritage acccessable to everyone. Every year the Society publishes a volume of transcribed and edited records, bound in hard covers with an illustrated dust jacket. The occasional publication of old county maps is also part of the Society's programme.

The Group supports physically disabled, often elderly, people in the Hertford area. It holds a monthly social with varied entertainments, with free ambulance or other appropriate transport to and from the venue. It arranges various outings with transport and considers financial help towards the purchase of 'aids', holidays etc. We can also refer people to outside specialised help.

Village hall available for hire to the general public, with emphasis on providing for the village of Stapleford.

ASSISTING PERSONS IN NEED OF HELP WITH THE WELFARE OF THEIR PETS, IN THE MAIN THE ELDERLY, UNEMPLOYED OR DISABLED. ALSO ASSISTING WITH HOMELESS ANIMALS. PETS IN CRISIS AND WILDLIFE.
