Health, education and other charitable activities

We are committed to enhancing students understanding of the institutional and political in-working of the United Nations (UN) organisation. Through attending simulated UN conferences, students act as ambassadors, representatives, and national leaders of their assigned countries whilst debating a variety of issues in a manner consistent with the procedure of the real UN.

The objects of the Charity, as stated in its governing document, are to:1) Relief sickness and the preservation of health in India and other parts of the world in particular, but not exclusively, by providing or assisting in the provision of medical and healthcare advice and information.2) To advance the education of children and young people who are socially and economically disadvantaged.

To further such charitable purposes as the trustees see fit, especially to relieve suffering and to promote spiritual wellbeing including human rights, racial harmony, equality or diversity in the United Kingdom or overseas.

We arrange outings and seaside holidays for children. We give parties and presents to the elderly at Christmas and also to the residents of a local psychiatric hostel. In India, we fund medical and eye camps and give support to a school for blind children.
