The charity operates in leysdown, for the people.Activities include.bowls,bingo, T'ai Chi, a club for the over 60s and various social events to enable us to bring the community together

We are at the heart of the community and offer an excellent venue for all villagers and all local societies, we offer car parking, and facilities for all including disabled.

We are a small friendly Christian church in Eastern Sheppey who meet together to worship God at 11.00 am each Sunday. We welcome anyone from the local community and holiday makers. We try to follow the example and teaching of Jesus Christ in our lives and seek to love others and make the world a better place.

Provide scholarship to indigent youth and support a school programme in the Philippines. In the UK charitable projects include support victims of domestic violence, support services for senior citizens of FWA-UK and the community. General Meeting in May, Annual General Meeting in September, fundraising activities include annual food festival, annual dinner dance in June.

The advancement of public education in, and the study of, local history

The aims of the charity are to@I. Have the freedom to maintain and develop the Archbishop's Palace buildings and their grounds.II. Assemble the talents, finance and management skills to build and manage a self-sustaining centre for the dissemination of knowledge about our Tudor and our Valley?s heritage. III. Develop a lasting heritage landmark within the Sevenoaks region.

Scouting for young people

Provide & maintain a village hall and a sports field for use by inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including meetings, lectures, classes & other forms of recreation & leisure-time occupationProvide or assist in provision of recreational facilities for inhabitants of the area of benefit in the interests of social welfare

Fitness classes, jumble sales, Christmas bazaar, quiz evenings, birthday parties, funeral wakes, charity coffee mornings, polling station, parish council & parochial church council meetings, tabletop sales, drama group rehearsals, private tutoring, St John Ambulance training and meetings, committee meetings, kitchen hire for artisan bakers, NHS Cardiac Rehab Clinic

To maintain, repair, restore, preserve, improve, beautify and reconstruct for the benefit of the public the fabric of the Parish Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Teston, its monuments, fixtures, fittings, furniture, stained glass, ornaments and other chattels and its churchyard, including the walls, fencing, lychgate, hedges, trees, grass and other landscaping thereof.

a) To relieve the suffering of Horses, Ponies and Donkeys who are in need of care and attention by:i) Establishing a sanctuary for the care of such animals and rehabilitate them. ii) The provision of proper caring homes for them.iii) To educate the public on all matters concerning the welfare of Horses, Ponies and Donkeys.

PTA - fundraising

Village Hall hired out as a community resource. Hires include: Tai Chi, Art Club, Short Mat Bowls, Craft Fairs, Monthly Talks, etc. Lower floor is Hired by Sandgate Members Club.

K-9RR's main objective is to stop as many dogs as possible from going into rescue. We do this by running training on Sundays to help rescue dog owners to understand their dogs behaviour, the law with regard to owning a dog and their responsibility as owners. They train to pass the Kennel Club's Good Citizens Scheme. In addition K-9RR is also a small foster-based rescue for all breeds of dogs.

MAINTAIN THE VILLAGE HALL FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE BENEFICIAL AREA WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, INCLUDING USE FOR MEETINGS, LECTURES, AND CLASSES, AND FOR OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

Educating the public in the art and science of music by the presentation of concerts by internationally renowned musicians, young performers together with other allied activities.

The promotion of education of young persons, in need of financial assistance, who are or have been for not less than two years resident or at a county or voluntary school in the area of benefit, being parishes covering mostly Tower Hamlets.

The relief of children and young people who are unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees, in particular by the provision of basic support education including classes in English and life skills and the provision of recreation and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life.

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a self-help learning organisation for people who have completed their career or finished raising a family.It means they have the time to enrich their lives with new skills and experiences, pursue their interests, form new friendships and enjoy a sense of belonging to a vibrant community.

Trains for and performs choral music in public three or four time a year

THE CHARITY RUNS A CHURCH CALLED NEW LIFE IN CHRIST MINISTRY (LORDSWOOD), IT SUPPORTS SINGLE PARENTS AND FAMILIES WHO ARE ON LIMITED INCOME BY PROVIDING FOOD AND CLOTHING.
