Relief of poverty in the old Borough of Lydd only

The objects of the charity are, for the public benefit, to relieve people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in particular by the provision of housing, and by raising public awareness of homelessness.

During the year Deal Rotarians have raised over £6827 and have distributed over -£8829of these funds among 16 worthy causes both at home and abroad.

The Unit runs archaeological projects in Kent and S.E London on threatened sites, including watching briefs, excavations, publication and preservation. Its education work involves two major Roman monuments open to the public with activity schools workshops. The unit is managed by its committee and many volunteers.

To benefit the residents of Dover and the neighbourhood by bringing together the said residents, local authorities and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide a real and / or virtual environment in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.

We are an independent wildlife charity working to halt and reverse the decline of wildlife habitats and species in Tenterden, Kent, and beyond. We collaborate and partner with local residents and young people, landowners, councils and conservation organisations.

Support of the Citizens Advice Bureau in Ashford

The income from the investments financed by the bequest is used to help the PCC of ST Mary the Virgin, Dover, to meet the cost of maintaining the church fabric and its contents so that it remains a suitable venue for Christian worship and a base for the Church's work in the community.

Fundraising for extra curricular activities and equipment for the school

The activities of the CIO are to advance such charitable purposes for the benefit of the public making grants to charities or other organisations for the people and local communities of Kent.

The holding of weekly bible studies on Thursdays and Sundays to help build up the character of members in Christ

The Charity is a Scout Group within the Scout Association whose aims and activities are designed to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national, and international communities, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.
