The charity is based in Leeds and operates one main project - a Child Contact centre which is accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centres.

Our fund raising includes sponsored events, fund raising meals,sales of merchandise, collections and appealing for donations to build rooms in the name of different organisations or to commemorate individuals. We recently got a multi-cultural group of 42 individuals to do a sponsored walk up Ben Nevis.

Education and Training

To relieve poverty and distress, preserve and protect good health and advance the education of marginalised communities living in United Kingdom especially Yorkshire and other parts of the world that we operate in by the provision of advice, information and assistance in such matters as health, education, training, translation, housing & welfare rights, recreation & leisure activities etc.

We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses, ponies and donkeys in distress. We also educate in animal welfare and provide (therapeutic) contact opportunities for people who wouldn't normally have the chance to meet these animals. The sanctuary is a place where people, irrespective of background and ability, can spend time with the animals and have a chance to contribute to their community.

Raising money to assist disadvantaged individuals and groups. Primarily in the West Yorkshire area but sometimes extending to other areas of the U.K. and other countries.

General Charitable purposes - providing support to local charities, community projects, individuals, voluntary groups, activities and good causes that make a positive difference in the Yorkshire area.

Caring For Life is a Christian charity which strives to "share the love of Jesus" with those in desperate need. CFL fulfils its aims through core areas of ministry. Providing supported homes for particularly vulnerable men and women. Providing housing support through the Community based Support team. Providing therapeutic daytime projects for individuals to engage and develop.

To provide advice to young people and assistance with educational and other activities as a means of:(a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;(b) advancing education; and (c) relieving unemployment.'

To provide Sports & Social activities for the visually impaired persons within the West Yorkshire area. The activities range from cricket, Goalball, Day trips, Holidays.We do not give grants of any kind and only help subsidise In house activities

To provide recreational facilities in particular but not exclusively to Kashmiri elders and people with disabilities in the interest of social welfare with the aim of improving the conditions of life of such people.

To establish a new inner-city public park in the Kirkstall Valley in Leeds.

The advancement of education in the field of performing arts, in particular, the art of film, drama, theatre, music and storytelling and to advance the appreciation of such art in Leeds and the surrounding areas by the provision of:a) Professional large scale community-driven accessible theatre productions, and;b) High quality accessible and affordable community training programmes.

UPENDO WETU supports its participants and their families through important life events. i.e UPENDO WETU visits new arrivals at homes to assist them with integration.We also organise family activities which encourage our participants to integrate with & get to know UK society. THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PLAYING GOLF OR OTHER AMATEUR SPORTS AT SCARCROFT GOLF CLUB

The Fund is available to assist in raising monies for the benefit of the Cathedral's upkeep. Recently the Cathedral has been given a major refurbishment and reordering. This fund has assisted in donating monies towards the costs.

Run projects and events that support greater community cohesion between different migrant and host communities.Support the mobilisation of diaspora in the UK to deliver support and investment to their countries of origin.Support the peaceful integration and settlement of new migrants to the UK.

Supporting Wellhouse Village Club to ensure that a public room remains available for the people of the village.To engage with the local residents to maintain and improve the village activities and environment.

To provide educational and recreational facilities for the inhabitants of the Moortown and district of Leeds. Activities are :- bridge, bowls, snooker, tennis, table tennis, indoor bowls, dancing, keep fit, weightwatchers, U3A concerts, quiz etc. We also have a bar and main hall which are hired out for birthdays, weddings, anniversary's etc.

The advancement of science for the public benefit by providing funding to students undertaking studies at The University of Leeds to obtain a doctorate Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry or similar scientific studies. Also, funding the carrying out of medical research at St James University Hospital Leeds, the useful result of which will be published.

THE CHARITY IS A GENERAL PURPOSE CHARITY, GIVING CHARITABLE HELP TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, THE ELDERLY AND OLD PEOPLE AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OR SPECIAL NEEDS. IT MAKES GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS.
