HPMC aims to advance education and support the prevention and relief of poverty in low and middle-income countries by making grants to other organisations.HPMC also aims to provide support in times of disaster and crisis anywhere in the world by making one-off payments.

The charity provides RSK shelter kit disaster preparedness and response training to aid agencies, first responders and communities living at risk of hazards worldwide. In 2017 and 2018 our work was focused on helping refugees and IDPs in Myanmar and Bangladesh. In 2021 and 2022 we are training Nepal Red Cross staff and volunteer disaster response teams in Nepal.
