Management and maintenance of Sidestrand Reading Room

The Charity provides assistance to persons resident in the parish of West Winch who are in conditions of need or hardship by making grants of money or by the provision of goods or services. In so far as funds are not required for this purpose the Charity applies funds for other charitable purpose which will benefit the residents of the parish.

The object of the charity is the relief of poverty. The trustees seek to fulfil their obligations by making grants to those in need within the parish of Scarning, or to organisations within the parish whose functions are compatible with this object.

Alleviating personal hardship in the local community of Bramerton by one-off grants.

The Trust holds photographic exhibitions, loans material to schools and community groups. The Trust publishes images from the collection in avariety of formats. Collects both historic photograph material to complement the existing collection.

To provide physical education and promote physical and mental well-being for children and young people within West Norfolk and surrounding areas by provision and assisting in the provision of facilities and coaching for playing football, other sports and recreational activities to enable them to grow to maturity as individuals and that their conditions of life may be improved.
