At the moment there are no claimants for the Fuel Relief therefore monies have been used to employ a gardener to maintain the churchyard. We are currently considering ways to use the monies to benefit the parish within the terms of our constitution.

The activities of the charity are to promote the benefit of persons in the UK and worldwide, including but not limited to the relief of poverty, sickness and distress, the advancement of education and the preservation and protection of good health.

Monthly meetings offering support and professional information/talks to Prostate Cancer sufferers and their partners, families and friends in Cambridge and East Anglia

The Society organises events and activities to promote a good image of Thetford, to act as a pressure group when necessary on a non-politcal basis, to draw together those with a concern for the quality of services in Thetford and to encourage initiatives to benefit local residents. The Society holds monthly meetimgs of local interest and produces a quarterly newsletter and an annual magazine

Relieving the poor

The Harleston Shed provides organisation and premises in which members meet to socialise and take part in cooperative or individual activities. These activities involve the construction and repair of everyday articles using wood, metal or other similar materials. The premises are situated in Harleston, Norfolk and the club is open to members of the public, male or female.

Promotion of education and training in agriculture

gives small grants for recreation to help local organisations further their work

Raising and holding funds with a view to providing a village hall for the village of Besthorpe.
