We provide a community hub for self-help groups like the AA, and other organisations such as the WI, PC and PCC. We are the local polling station, and have regular hirers: a dog training school, a model railways group, circuit training, band rehearsals, and special events like weddings, birthdays and parties. We charge £6 an hour for locals & regular hirers, and negotiate rates for others.

Masonic and non-Masonic Charity Support

Rackheath WI meets on a monthly basis. We have eleven meetings per year with a wide variety of guest speakers, a Birthday meeting in April and an Annual Meeting in February. We hold a Christmas celebration in December.Other activities include regular walks, outings, educational and recreational, both local and further afield.

The Trustees have discretion to make donations to various animal charitable institutions.

Provide a service to the local community of Harpley and surrounding villages, Preschool activities in association with the Harpley C E primary school , Keep fit activities, Parish Council meetings as well as the hire of the hall for private functions.

We provide a hospital radio and ward visiting service which addresses the psychological and social needsof those who are ill and in hospital, residential homes and similar institutions, and patients receivingcommunity care. The radio service offers a welcome distraction to its listeners through music, sports,comedy, news, current affairs, and other programming of interest.

The charity aims to continuously update and improve facilities at Burroughes Hall in order to meet health, safety and access requirements. The hall is regularly decorated to encourage individuals, groups and other charities to use the facility. To do this the committee organises fundraising events throughout the year and obtains grants.

Fundraising events involving pupils and their families to pay for equipment, trips and items for the pupils of Aslacton Primary School.
