We are working in Partnership with Iraqi universities and UK universities to provide knowledge and expertise to change outcomes for children in Iraq. We are focusing on education, social emotional well being, disabilities and trauma.

KAIROS Companions in Grief is A Bereavement Counselling & Support Service for Bereaved People throughout Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham. It offers (a) a specialist one-to-one bereavement counselling service; (b) specialist therapeutic bereavement support groups; (c) organisational bereavement advisory service; (d) from 2013, counselling service for bereaved children.

Education and training

A full year of social initiatives in partnership with North East churches as part of the national "Hope 08" initiative. The Just 10 series, based on the Ten Commandments, with Canon J John of the Philo Trust took place in Gateshead and Stockton on Tees with more than 88,000 people attending over 10 weeks.

To promote understanding, good will, and equity between people of different faiths, cultures and communities - particularly through education, community cohesion, the celebration of diversity and co-operation with other groups and organisations within the faith, community, voluntary, statutory and private sectors.

Fund raising for the benefit of students in the College. A forum for information for parents and prospective parents.

OFFERING SUPPORT TO POORLY OR PALLIATIVE PATIENTS

The charity has been set up in preparation for a transfer of assets of a community centre and land from Newcastle City Council as part of their divestment policy. The Charity is currently dormant awaiting Council decisions on the terms of that transfer.The Community Centre is currently managed by our charity Westerhope and District Community Association registered charity number 1044378.

This trust fund supports youngsters throughout the north-east, either individuals or groups, with a bursary of up to ?300, which in some way enriches the quality of their life.

The charity's objective is, in the interests of social welfare, to improve the lives of people in the North East who by reason of their social and economic circumstances are in need of support. The charity provides activities that enable people to improve their physical, mental and social health, feel integrated within their community and develop skills that will benefit them throughout life.

Provide assistance and advice to retired and former mineworkers from Lynemouth Colliery.

Conservation Corridors undertakes the following activities:1. Organising and managing Voluntary Environmental Monitoring programmes in the UK and Belize2. Organising and matching UK volunteers to support Environmental, Heritage and Social Service programmes in the UK and Belize.3. Organising fundraising events in the UK to support environmental and humanitarian causes in Belize.

TWHF promotes the conservation of heritage within the North East, offering support and guidance to those wishing to protect a significant heritage feature ie. something that links a community to its past; a building, artefact, memorial, statue, street or pathway, view or natural feature providing a reminder of a former historic or industrial past, eg the current Lowick Pilgrim Initiative.

Prayers and Religious education

The Newcastle Philosophy Society runs a number of regular events including lectures and conversation groups. The Newcastle Philosophy Society also works in conjunction with other local organisations to run one-off events including lectures and conversation groups. We have finances available for others wishing to pursue the running of such events.

Provide a therapeutic working environment for adults with special needs who use the Day Centre or visit the farm for activities with their carers.Educational activities on horticulture and livestock production.Engaging with schools, college and children through courses and activities.Provide opportunities for volunteers, young people and those seeking employment, to participate in farm activities.

The objects of NHSN CIO are the encouragement by every means of the study of natural history in all its branches and the conservation of the natural environment in north east England including its geology, flora and fauna

This Charity is currently inactive but related to a piece of land for Recreation Ground for the benefit of the inhabitants
