The Village Hall is the centre of our social community activities for the small hamlet of Sawdon within the North York Moors jurisdiction.Our activities include our Village Show, Cream Teas, Coffee Mornings and Parties etc.Our principle activity at the present is fund raising to replace our exhisting Hall which was an RAF hut. Its condition is such that we require a new Village Hall.

NUZZLETS GIVES LOVING HOMES TO UNWANTED ANIMALS AND ACCESS TO YOUNG PEOPLE FOR THERAPY AND EDUCATION.NUZZLETS SPECIALISES IN HELPING THE FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES, SPECIAL NEEDS AND CHILDREN WHO HAVE LIFE THREATENING ILLNESSES.

School and community based fundraising eg Summer Gala, Discos, refreshments at Easter and Summer events, raffling hampers.

Provison of hard court outdoor sport surface for the benefit of all local residents

The Darley Memorial Hall is used by the villages of Lastingham & Spaunton. The Management Committee are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep. Funds are raised by organising events for the local community as well as the general public. The hall is used for keep fit classes, wedding receptions, birthday parties, meetings, lectures and other village social events.

HANG ON TO A DREAM IS A REGIONAL CHARITY BASED IN OTLEY AND COVERING ALL THE YORKSHIRE AREA. HANG ON TO A DREAM IS THE FIRST REGIONAL CHARITY FOR TERMINALLY ILL AND SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO MAKE THEIR DREAMS COME TRUE.

Provides village hall for use of local residents and organisations

Maintains a Village Hall for the use of all the population in the surrounding villages. The villages being: Sinderby, Pickhill, Holme, Howe, Ainderby Quernhow.

We Provides authorised trained volunteers to respond, as directed by Yorkshire Ambulance Service, to life-threatening medical emergencies to the residents and visitors to Skipton and out-lying villages which aims to reduce the number of pre-hospital deaths.In addition to this work we provide information and training to members of the public on Basic life support and first aid.

The charity provides financial assistance to young talented individuals involved in the arts (and in particular musicians, ballet dancers, singers) journalism or sport.

Weekly club meetings and activities both educational and social

To provide the school with special benefits of any kind not normally provided by the local education authority and in promoting the education consistent with the doctrines of the Church of England to the pupils attending the school.

Stillington Playing Fields Association owns land in Stillington Village at the Sports and Social Club. The land and buildings thereon are used and maintained for sport and recreation for the whole community.

Weekly club meetings and activities both educational and social

Fund raising on behalf of Summerbridge Community Primary School, to fund activities and resources identified by the school, and approved by the PTA committee. Fund raising activities might include (but are not limited to) coffee mornings, including sales of donated items (baked cakes and second hand books, toys and uniform), christmas and summer fetes, and duck race.

Mainstay works with vulnerable adults who have mental health issues. Mainstay works to raise awareness about mental health issues and provides community hub social support and advice, mentoring, short courses, skills for work, counselling services to enable service users to engage with their community. Mainstay works with people to build stronger communities.

Snooker/ billiards recreational room. Additional room available for local use.

We are a youth group to provide a safe environment for children aged 11-18 to attend with friends to join in with sports, crafts, baking, etc.

Conservation of natural environment

Our main activity is to hold monthly meetings in our village hall. We invite a range of speakers through the year to address each meeting on their specialist subject. Also we organise outings to enrich our members knowledge of our wider environment, visiting stately homes, museums, gardens and theatres. We raise funds by running craft workshops and selling the goods we have made.
