The objectives of the charity are to advance the education of the public, particularly young people and those from disadvantaged backgrounds, at schools, universities and other academic institutions, or by such other charitable means as the Trustees see fit, including by enabling them to participate in sport. The Trust does not accept unsolicited applications for funding.

The charity encourages and promotes the exchange of scientific information between social, behavioural and clinical scientists, as well as practitioners primarily via our yearly scientific meeting. We also aim to raise the profile of behavioural medicine within UK science and health policy.

The object of the trust is to help disabled people to take a holiday of their choice, by providing or assisting in the provision of finance for necessary carers, this is when the applicant although able to pay for their own holiday, is unable to provide funds to pay for the cost of a carer, the carer can not find all the costs and the costs are not available from elsewhere.

We run peer to peer support groups online for tongue cancer patients aged 18-64 and their supporters. We create awareness raising and educational content to promote the existance of tongue cancer within the younger patient population, campaign for changes in best practice to improve patient outcomes and advocate for better patient support services.

To raise project funds for capital works to support various charitable construction projects in the UK which support practical community building development and refurbishment.The money raised primarily comes from private donations and community and church groups.

The Society exists to give recognition to people who perform acts of bravery in the United Kingdom in rescuing others from the life-threatening effects of fires. In 2021 the Society Trustees met twice and awarded a total of 66 bravery certificates to nominated persons.

The Doctors' Support Network (DSN) Is a confidential peer support network for UK based doctors and medical students with concerns about our own mental health. We aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma and influence the agenda regarding physician health.
