Money given to 'maids' and 'batchlors' born and brought up within the village and then married in the Parish Churchs - 4/7ths of the charity income obtained by field rental automatically given to the Parish Church

Established in 1808, the charity manages seven acres three rood and eleven poles of land situated in Hempton which is let by the trustees to farmers and the proceeds spent initially in coals which were distributed to the poor of Hempton. This practice continues to this day but the charity now operates with slightly updated goals.
