It comprises a mixed social group of individuals of mature age who have impaired hearing or an interest in hearing impaired people or hearing impairment issues. It meets weekly and has activities that include outside speakers, social meetings and activity meetings.

In memory of Mia Elcock, for the benefit of the public, to establish & maintain a natural woodland space know as Mia's Wood as a means of A. Conservation B. EducationC. RecreationThe focus of our work is a 2-acre woodland site called Mia's Wood in Little Horwood, Buckinghamshire.

The festival offers a platform for amateur musicians and singers of all ages to perform in front of an expert adjudicator and to receive verbal and written feedback. An experienced accompanist is also available. It is competitive, but the emphasis is on education and encouragement. All sessions are open to the public and the festival culminates with a public concert of selected prizewinners.
