The advancement of health or saving of lives

The NAS is dedicated to advancing education in nautical archaeology at all levels; to improving techniques in excavating, conservation and reporting; and to encouraging the participation of members of the public at all stages.

The income of the trust is applied by making such subscriptions to charitable organisations and bodies and such other applications for charitable purposes as the designated person (the 12th Duke of Northumberland) directs. The trustees can also (with the consent of the designated person) pay or transfer all or part of the capital to charitable organisations.

The Policy Centre for African Peoples (PCAP) was created in 2008 to enable African and disadvantaged individuals of all ethnic origins to improve their lives through education, leadership and engagement. The charity carries out fundraising activities and publicises the charity to raise funds to allow it to financially support cancer sufferers and their families and to raise awareness of testicular cancer

Grants for any child over the age of 5 years of a father or mother who is a British Citizen and is in need of financial assistance to obtain British type education either overseas or in the UK whilst the family is living/working overseas.

The Charity now commissions its own work, aiming to influence decision makers. It no longer accepts new grant applications and will now only consider extending existing grants.

The Creative Dimension Trust (TCDT) offers fine craft skills workshops for 14-19 year olds with exceptional talent and potential. The workshops are taught by Craft Specialists who are acknowledged leaders in their professions.

Supporting and developing research and the provision of care wellbeing and inclusion measures to the community of British Nuclear Test Survivors which includes veterans of the British Nuclear Tests, their spouses and generations of offspring.

RJC promotes restorative justice as a means of resolving conflict and promoting reconciliation in the criminal justice system, schools and workplace and elsewhere in the community in situations here conflict may arise. RJC develops and promotes agreed standards and principles for evaluating and guiding restorative practice and advances and publicises education and research on restorative justice.

We organise and run nature camps, events and environmental and sustainable projects engaging BAME children, adults and communities within the South West, South Wales and London. We also provide training and consultancy for organisations within the wider nature, conservation, environmental and education sectors. We campaign for equal access to nature across the UK and for Global Climate Justice.
